| New Scarf in the Making |
Today, I woke up early to watch the televised House hearings. I remember watching the last impeachment hearing too. I decided to do some knitting while I watched the hearing and pulled out another unfinished project, a scarf that I had started a year or so ago. I even finished the scarf, but, then, didn't like how it turned out (too narrow), so I unpicked the whole thing and started all over again !
In addition to watching TV, knitting, and unpicking, I did laundry and watered the front garden. The radiation oncologist's office called and confirmed tomorrow's appointment, so, that's on the agenda for tomorrow.
Today, I was grateful for:
- Television
- Electricity
- Being able to knit
- Water for laundry and the garden
- Being able to video chat with my daughter
Today's joyful activity was knitting

The thought of you knitting whilst watching the impeachment hearings reminds me of Les Tricoteurs during the French Revolution. I'm currently NOT watching the UK parliament on TV as I find it too upsetting.
ReplyDeleteHa, ha. I like to knit when I watch TV. I often watch BBC news in the evenings and I love it when they show the UK parliament in action! :D

DeleteThe hearings are keeping a lot of people occupied. Not me however. Too tedious. But it's often better to hear the real thing than to hear someone's interpretation of the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteI am a bit of a news junkie, anyway. As a child, I didn't have access to TV, so I just read newspapers (and clipped all the articles I could find on whatever subject it was that I was interested in). Now, I watch news on TV and I feel that I am witnessing history in the making.
DeleteI’m also a news junkie, but I don’t watch tv. I like reading. So I didn’t watch the hearings, but listened a bit while driving.
ReplyDeleteThat scarf looks so pretty. I didn’t crochet for a while. Work keeps piling up because it’s almost the end of the semester.
The yarn is a novelty yarn I bought from the dollar store - it's the first time I am knitting with this yarn. Maybe you'll have time to crochet once you are on winter break. :)

ReplyDeleteI like to either knit or crochet which watching television as long as the pattern is simple.
Ha, ha, I took out a crochet project to work on, at first (putting together granny squares to make a blanket), but, changed my mind and decided to knit the scarf, instead. :)
