Something happened to my computer, this afternoon, and I could no longer log on. I guess it crashed? I was able to log on in the morning and respond to comments, read other blogs, etc., but, then, when I went to log on a bit later, I couldn't.
My daughter had gone to her friend's wedding reception, so I waited until she came home and showed it to her. She couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, either, and we decided that I needed a new computer. We went to the computer store and she bought me this new laptop as my birthday present! That's on top of the 4 magazine subscriptions she got for me for my birthday! I will take the old laptop to the store, later, and ask them to see what might be wrong with it and see if they can fix it for me.
Since we were at the mall, we decided to order dinner (and dessert!) from one of the restaurants there and brought it home to eat. After dinner, my daughter set up the new computer for me. I am glad it happened when my daughter was home and could set up the new computer for me. I certainly wouldn't have known what to do and I'd been been very stressed!
Today, I am grateful for:
- My daughter being home this weekend
- The gift of a new computer (plus the 4 magazine subscriptions she had already got for me!)
- Daughter setting up the computer for me
- The special dinner (and cheesecake for dessert!)
- Another warm and sunny day

I love getting magazine subscriptions! I will be getting Better Homes & Gardens, Martha Stewart Living, Good Housekeeping, and one called Flowers. Flowers is new to me, but, it is about gardening, so I'm I'll like it.

My computer is a grumpy old laptop at times, but I am so attached to it and hoping that I don't have to replace it for a while yet, although I know a new one would be faster and more efficient.

Thank you, Bushlady. Yes, I'd have trouble posting any blog posts without a computer - I'm not sure I'd be able to do much with just my phone. If you are going to get a new laptop, do so before the old one dies on you, or, make sure you have everything saved to an external drive! I hadn't saved anything and lost some pictures.
