Sunshine and Rain on Saturday

The day dawned sunny and bright.  I has happy to see some sunshine after all the grey days we've been having and yesterday's rain.  But, then, in the late afternoon, it rained a bit more!  Not a heavy rain storm and the sun shone, again, afterwards.

Dancer had an accident in the bathroom, this morning, which meant I had to wash the bath mats and mop the bathroom floor!  Later, I gave him his flea prevention medicine, which he didn't like at all.

I spent the afternoon sewing on my quilt.  I am doing some hand sewing right now, which is time consuming, but I enjoy hand sewing.  I find it meditative.

Dancer came for a cuddle while I was sewing and he purred loudly, and then...he bit me!

Bite Marks!

I always swell up when he bites or scratches me; the swelling goes down, later.

Ouch!

I yelled at him and chased him away.  He knows I am angry with him.  He's been keeping away from me all evening!  He came and meowed at me a little while ago, and when I ignored him, jumped up onto my chair and head butted me.  But, I asked him, sternly, why he bit me and he went away, again!

Today was a day of phone calls - I called both Aunt T and cousin V, later, cousin P, neighbor T, and friend R called.  I also chatted with my daughter, both on the phone and online.

On Saturday, I was grateful for:
- Both sunshine and rain!
- Phone calls with family and friends
- An afternoon of sewing
- A working washing machine
- All what I was able to accomplish, today.

Today's joyful activity was sewing.

How was your Saturday?  What are your plans for tomorrow?

  1. Hope you and Dancer have a good day today. Don't you wish that you could ask Dancer what he was thinking when he bit you? Every once in while, one our cats will bite when they are purring and bumping. I'm not sure what that signifies in cat behavior, but I think it's a positive thing in their mind.

    1. Thanks, Live and Learn. He was all cuddles this morning and no biting! Who knows what goes on in their little cat minds? Maybe he thinks he's playing with another cat?

  2. That bite mark looks sore. I hope it doesn't happen often, although it does appear as if Dancer is very sorry. Have you forgiven him yet? X

    1. It's got to the itchy scab stage, now. Yes, I've forgiven him. :) He cuddled nicely, this morning.

  3. Oh dear, whatever was Dancer thinking of? I hope your bite mark heals well. He must have been in a funny mood to do that.

    1. Yes, they are healing well, thank you. I am not sure what got into him, maybe I ruffled his fur the wrong way, or, he just got over-excited. Maybe he wanted to rough-house?
