* I had to go to the library to return my books, today, and on the way back, I went to my favorite Thai restaurant and bought myself an order of their beef fried rice to go. You have to go through the eating area to the order counter, but, the eating area is an open patio and there was just one person there when I went to order and he had left by the time I paid for my order; in addition, I wore a mask.
What's on your meal plan for the first week of October?
Your meal plans are going well. I'm pleased you are getting out and about going to the library and ordering a takeaway meal which sounds yummy. I must eat from my freezer this week to make way for some Christmas goodies.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Eileen. It was a really quick visit to the library to return the books, but, I did go inside to do so, instead of using the book return set up outside. One of the books was due today and I wanted to make sure they checked it in right away so I wouldn't have an overdue book charge on my account. Then, when I was in the car, driving home, I decided to treat myself to a take out, even though I had food at home.
DeleteI'm sure you'll find plenty of yummy things to have from your freezer. The sausage, gyoza, and chicken wings I've listed on my meal plan are all from my freezer. I need to clear the freezer to make room for the Thanksgiving turkey leftovers! LOL.
Excellent meal plans as ever. We have been eating a large piece of mutton from the freezer. Bob bought it in the summer, intending it fir a big family meal which didn't happen. So he cooked it in his kettle bbq. We ate it with veg for 2 days, the I made the remainder into a stew, and froze it in portions. We got meals for 6 days, so it worked out to be very economical in the end. I'm using up the last of my veg from the garden. I shall make a curry with those green tomatoes which are failing to ripen!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angela. Sounds like you got many meals from that piece of mutton! Your green tomato curry sounds great!
DeleteTalk about having a plan and sticking to it. I'm impressed.
ReplyDeleteThank you, June. :)
DeleteWow a workable plan, great meals and pastries and desserts from a neighbor. It sounds perfect!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Anne. I don't always follow my plan, but, I've not gone hungry, either! :D
ReplyDeleteThis week has included plenty of salad and veggies, thanks to a generous donation from our next door neighbours who grow vast quantities!
ReplyDeleteVery healthy! You, too, have some lovely neighbors who share their garden produce!
DeleteI'm glad you stopped and got the beef fried rice. I'm sure you enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteWhat with going to the library and treating yourself to a carryout meal, you had a nice little outing.
Thank you, Debra. It was a nice little outing and yes, I enjoyed my beef fried rice. The restaurant (it's really a hole in the wall kind of place) is family owned, so I was supporting a local small business. They give very generous portions, too; there was enough rice for four meals for me, so, money well spent, I think.
