  1. Your meals all look and sound delicious! I had a round of "paxlovid rebound" over the weekend, which was worse than the original COVID! I'm coming out of it now. I read your Saturday post but was too tired to comment. Im sorry you had a hassle with parking, I also hate having to use an app! I hope your tests all are good. I assume poor Dancer has recovered from the stress by now. Poor kitty.

    1. Oh, Celie, I'm so sorry to read that you've had a "paxlovid rebound"! I hope you recover completely from that! I hope you are able to get plenty of rest and take it easy.
The test results were mostly good, but, I have to go for another test, tomorrow morning. The reason being, I took the wrong lab test request with me when I went on Friday! I am so mad at myself for doing that! I don't know what I was thinking of! So, I get to try the new parking payment meter again!

  2. Your meals do look and sound delicious I agree with Celie. Very good quality chocolate but that would be too rich for my taste although I do like dark, milk and white chocolate :) Well done on almost reaching your 30 point plant based food challenge.

    1. Thank you, Eileen. Yes, that chocolate is on the bitter side, but, I had bought it to try it out and now I know. :)

  3. I always like to read your meal plans. Sometimes, I might even 'borrow' your ideas :) I will not, however, be joining you in eating that chocolate. I tried it once, but it was far too bitter for me.
Meal planning is not a thing here, just now. No doubt I'll get back in the swing of things soon, once I'm back at work. Xx

    1. Thank you, Jules. I agree with you on the bitterness of the chocolate. I bought it to try it; I might try one with 80% cocoa, next. Sometimes, it's good to go off meal planning and just decide as you go. For me, though, having a plan to look at helps. :)

  4. Good job on the points last week. Did it just work out that way, or were you actively trying to get more in?

    1. Thank you, June. It just worked out that way. In fact, I thought that I would have fewer points because a lot of the meals towards the end of the week were leftovers. But, having a salad helped and having several vegetarian curries helped, too. :)

  5. Well done on getting to 30! I keep some cubes of frozen spinach in the freezer (where else?!), thinking I will chuck one in to pasta dishes or sauces now and then, to add another vegetable to my diet ... but I often forget. Well, yesterday while making dinner I happened to remember, because I was thinking about your 30 quest, so I quickly threw a couple in. (Of course, today I had the leftovers so they won't count again, but I am not really tracking it, just being conscious of trying to have more variety.)
Lindt dark chocolate gives me a headache, and I don't much care for the taste, but JD Gross do a lovely dark chocolate here, which I have been buying for a few years. That said, it has just gone up to £2/bar so I don't think I will be bothering with it any more!

    1. Thank you, Lady Ella. Good idea to keep frozen spinach on hand to toss into various dishes. I need to improve my vegetable uptake more than anything else.
Chocolate prices have gone up, here, too. It is definitely a treat, these days.

  6. Your meals look delicious.
I forgot to count points last week. I honestly don't remember what I ate two days ago.
After seeing your brunch menu, now I have a craving for chocolate milk. LOL
I think I will make a cup of hot chocolate after reading blogs. 😁

    1. Thank you, Nil. I forget what I eat, too, unless I right it down (or take a picture). I don't like plain milk, so, if I drink milk, it has to be chocolate milk. But, it is a very occasional treat due to the sugar and calories.

  7. Wow, you got to 30! That’s great! I’m more aware of my plant-based food varieties since you started writing about it, but I haven’t counted yet.
Tuesday was a day of medical appointments.
Our food plan was a lot of cooked chicken and fresh vegetables, keeping it simple.
It’s a beautiful Wednesday morning here. Husband and I will be off to the airport to visit younger daughter in California! Can’t wait! 😊

    1. Thank you, Taconix. I was very please that I could get up to 30. :)
Oh, I hope you've had a safe flight and are having a wonderful visit with your younger daughter!

  8. Good to keep track of your fruit and veggies. I did count one day and came up with nine, but wasn't sure whether to include an extra for tomatoes as we had both canned, in chili, and raw in sandwiches. I didn't count any ground pepper or chili powder or cumin.

    1. Thank you, Bushlady. Nine a day is excellent; I would count only 1 for tomato. The spices would have received 0.25 points, each, so that would have brought your count up to 9.75 for the day. :)

    1. Thank you, Sharon. I think, being vegetarian, you might be able to reach the target of 30 plant based foods a week without any problems!

  10. haha - I laughed at your one brunch that was simply Chocolate Milk.
:) Not many dishes with that meal.
I like dark chocolate but I don't think I've had 90%. I see you thought it was on the bitter side. I imagine I would've found it the same.

    1. I don't like plain milk, but, I LOVE chocolate milk! Obviously, I can't have it all the time (too much sugar and calories), but, on a hot day, a glass of ice cold chocolate milk is a treat!
90% cocoa chocolate is very intense. It's not sweet at all, but, I was able to include it, in my count!
