Restful Sunday

I had a very restful day on Sunday.  I slept in - the good news is, I got eight hours of sleep; the bad news is, I slept away practically the whole morning!

I was having my "morning" cup of tea (it was noon by then!) when neighbor T called for our Sunday morning chat.

In the afternoon, I changed the dust sheets on the family room sofa and did a couple of loads of laundry.  The rest of the day, I read, watched some TV, chatted with my daughter, played online games, and took it easy.

On Sunday, I was grateful for:
- Being able to sleep in
- Weekly phone calls with neighbor T
- Working appliances (washing machine, fans, etc.)
- Interesting programs to watch on TV
- A good friend sharing her thoughts and opinions with me

Monday's To Do List:
- Change my bed sheets
- Do laundry
- Vacuum
- Water the garden
- Take the trash cans to the curb
- Pay the phone bill

How was your Sunday?  What are your plans for Monday?

  1. I'm glad you had a calm day. We all need those then and again. My weekend was me saying once again, that I will never go to the store on Sunday afternoon. The parking lots were full, the aisles were crowded, and the shelves are empty. When will I learn?

    1. Thank you, Live and Learn. Oh, no, I hope you were still able to buy what you needed! Stores do get crowded on the weekends, don't they? But, sometimes, that's the only time when we can do our shopping; it can't be helped.

  2. Hi Bless, Sunday was glorious! I spent it up in the mountains. The weather was perfect. You sound so positive. I wonder if you have Sundowners Syndrome?

    1. I read about it, later in the night, last night! I'm glad you were able to go up to the mountains and spend the day, there.

Thank you for saying I sound positive! I try to be! My daughter used to say that I am being too negative, focusing on what I didn't do rather than what I did, etc.

Hm, Sundowners Syndrome. My mother used to have it. May I ask what makes you wonder if I have it, too?

    1. I liked it, too, Nil, once I got over feeling guilty about not doing much! :D You had a productive day! Your crocheting is coming along very nicely.

  6. That was good that you got plenty of sleep and were still awake in time for your neighbour to call for your chat.

I had another go at the yard on Sunday afternoon and I am amazed that I have been able to make a difference this last few days as at one time I felt it was beyond hope! There is one challenge, the forsythia bush that gets bigger and bigger every year and is totally out of control. We even tried to kill it once, but this year it was covered with flowers so it is trying to curry favour!

    1. Thank you, Bushlady. Yes, she usually calls at around 11:00 a.m., but, yesterday, she called just after noon. :)

Sounds like you are getting quite a bit done in the yard! Your forsythia bush sounds amazing! I'm sure it looks lovely when it is blooming.

  7. It ruins the whole day when I sleep till noon. Sunday there was a football game, and it was super busy at work. I miss knowing neighbors like you do. Maybe someday,

    1. I'm glad you had a busy day on Sunday, Akasha. There are some neighbors I don't know at all, but, I make a point to get to know those closest to me.
