My total came to $33.80
I had $42.34 left in my March grocery budget and I made sure that I spent under that amount when ordering today's groceries because I didn't want to go over budget this month!
March Grocery budget = $200
Spent to date = $51.70 + $47.92 + $31.71 + $18.34 + $7.99 + $33.80 = $191.46
Balance left in the March Grocery Budget = $200 - $191.46 = $8.54
I don't see myself buying anymore groceries in the next couple of days, so that $8.54 will be carried over to April. I am feeling pleased with myself for staying under budget, this month.
I baked the pizza after I came home and we had that for a late lunch, followed by one of the mangos.
How are you coming along with your grocery spending this month? Were you able to stay within budget?
A quick trip to the shops yesterday afternoon as a friend will be calling round this afternoon was an unexpected spend, but I got a box full of fruit and veg for just £1;50, containing grapes, bananas, satsumas, strawberries, potatoes , limes and more. Total value over £7. Bargain
ReplyDeleteIt does sound like you got a very good bargain with those fruits and vegetables, Angela. Enjoy your visit with your friend.
DeleteYou did it! You were under budget and you still ate very well.
ReplyDeleteThank you, June. I don't know if you noticed it or not, but, I didn't buy any chicken or meat in March, other than some cold cuts earlier in the month and a package of bacon during this last grocery shopping order. I did buy a package of salmon once and several cans of tuna. But, we ate meat I had bought, previously, that I had in the freezer (including those pork chops I had agonized over whether to buy or not during the previous month!) I will have to keep that in mind when I shop in the future.
DeleteMy shopping trips often include extras for "the critters". Yesterday I bought two fat cakes for the fat cage that the woodpeckers love to visit. They were $2 each, regularly $2.29. With winter still hanging on, (freezing rain right now), it is good to help our feathered friends and the entitled squirrels that fight outside on the porch!
ReplyDeleteIt is so kind of you to extend your grocery budget to provide for your feathered friends and the other critters you feed on a regular basis, Bushlady. They do become part of the extended family, don't they?
