This was the meal plan for the first week in September:

Snacks: Yogurt✔, apples, crackers with cheese or peanut butter✔, granola bars✔, canned fruit, maybe something baked (although the forecast says that temperatures will be going back up to the upper 90s by the end of the week)

And here's how it worked out:

Wednesday:

Snacks: Cereal (dry, no milk), yogurt, homemade potato chips

Sunday:
Brunch - Peanut butter and toast (I had planned to make French toast, but, I couldn't be bothered!)

I think it worked out well enough, although, there seems to be a sad lack of vegetables!

Time to make a meal plan for this week!

Brunches: Pancakes and mackerel curry (Monday), leftover pancakes and mackerel curry, French toast, scrambled egg and toast,  salads

Dinners: Smoked sausage stir fry and rice (Monday), chicken curry with rice, spicy potatoes, and eggplant, hamburgers and salad, leftovers

Snacks: Yogurt, cereal, apples, crackers with cheese or peanut butter, granola bars, canned fruit, maybe muffins if I bake some

That is the plan, at least.  My meal plans are subject to change. though, depending on what I feel like cooking!

How about you?  Are you making a meal plan this week?

  1. Yes, for the first time in ages I have made a meal plan for the week. I need to keep myself on the straight and narrow and use up as much of the stuff in the freezer as I can over the next couple of weeks.

    1. Meal plans are good when trying to use up what one has in the freezer and pantry. :)

  2. Plan or no plan, you never go hungry. However, you stuck to your plan pretty well this week.

    1. You are right! Unless I am intentionally fasting, I never go hungry! And what a blessing that is! I did keep to the plan for the most part, didn't I? :)

  3. I wouldn't worry too much about a lack of vegetables as you are eating fruit. I'm having a beef salad for my evening meal although the weather has turned much cooler now but not cold enough for roast dinners.

    1. Thank you, Eileen; I always preferred fruit to vegetables! :D A beef salad sounds good and I'm glad it has got cooler for you. :) It's about 10 degrees cooler, here, too, today; a high of only 86F/30F instead of 96F/35C! I'm dressed appropriately in a long sleeved top and a pair of slacks, instead of the sleeveless dress I wore yesterday. :D
