In The Squash Patch |
Mama Cat has abandoned her bucket in favor of the squash patch!
It's been a beautiful sunny and warm day, today, with the daytime high being 83F. Well within my comfort zone. I brought in the empty trash can, but, the recycling did not get collected! I checked it at 5:30 p.m. and it was still full. Maybe they'll collect it tomorrow.
I've been taking it relatively easy, today, because there was a slight pain in my hip. I cleaned up after Dancer in the morning (he threw up in my bedroom and in the family room) and will do his litter box later in the evening. I put away the laundry from yesterday, too, and did a bit of paperwork; that's about all I've done.
M tended to the garden, today, watering the plants, and he washed the back steps for me, because Chicken Little had left its calling card, again! This is a photo I took of Mama Cat and Chicken Little, yesterday, enjoying breakfast:

Plumeria "Flower" |
I kept it to see if M would be fooled by it, but, he's too good a gardener for that! He noticed it and commented that someone had put an artificial flower in the plant and asked if I did it. I was laughing and he just shook his head at me! LOL! That's my pineapple plant in the pot behind the plumeria, grown from the top of a pineapple (another gift frm M). No pineapples yet, though! M brought me a Thai basil plant cutting, today because the other basil plant I had bought got burned to a crisp and died. The Thai basil is supposed to be hardier; we shall see.

How was your Wednesday? What are your plans for Thursday?
That's amazing to see Mama Cat and Chicken Little enjoying breakfast together. That's funny about the flower and it would have been strange for M to be fooled but it does look very realistic to me :) Were you just testing the nail polish or is it something you plan on wearing regularly now. I have never been a fan of painting my nails. I have a bottle of red polish that came in a gift set but I've never been tempted to use it not even on my toes as was suggested to me.
ReplyDeleteVery often, Chicken Little will come up right next to Mama Cat and Mama Cat will back away! Sometimes, I stand guard by the door until Mama Cat has had at least some of the food before Chicken Little eats it all! I get clucked at when I do that! LOL.
DeleteI was hoping M would think that the plumeria flowers, but, it was fun trying. :)
Yes, I was just testing to see if the polish was still any good. It was OK, so I went ahead and did my nails. I am not sure if I will continue to do them, but, I do like how my nails look with the dark red polish. :)
Haha! The flower trick made me smile.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you are keeping both Mama Cat and Chicken Little well fed. X
I had fun trying to fool M! :D
DeleteChicken Little doesn't look so little, anymore!
Fun pictures today of the eating companions and the very pretty artificial flower. Hope you hip is better tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThank you, June. Glad you enjoyed the pictures. :)
DeleteThe flower is funny! Of course M wasn't fooled, but it was a good try. Interesting how Mama Cat and Chicken Little eat together!
ReplyDeleteLOL, I had fun trying to fool M! Mama Cat seems to have accepted Chicken Little as a fellow garden dweller! She's a very peaceable cat!
DeleteMama cat has attractive fur and I like her white paws. Pretty elegant for a garden cat! Well, it was a nice try with the plumeria flower - so that is what they look like.
ReplyDeleteMama Cat is elegant, isn't she? M commented on the plumeria flower, today, too. I think he is amused by it. :D
DeleteThis was an all around nice day - topped off with a mini-manicure :)
ReplyDeleteMama Cat looks very pretty in the squash plant. Her coloring is attractive.
I laughed at your plumeria flower and gardener M shaking his head lol
It was a good day! My nail polish has chipped off and I must either remove it and reapply or just go without nail polish! Decisions!
DeleteI've left the plumeria flower in place - maybe it will encourage the plant to grow and flower! :D
