Mountain Climbing: One Third of the Way

Today, I had the 10th of 30 radiation treatments.  I am now one third of the way up this portion of the climb up the mountain!  Every 5th treatment, they film things before the actual treatment starts; so that took place today, before the treatment.

I also worked on office stuff, brought in the trash cans, watered the front and back gardens, did a load of laundry, and video chatted with my daughter.  However, I forgot to mail the car registration renewal payment and didn't get around to watering the indoor plants and decluttering!  I will declutter 19 items tomorrow to make up for it, in addition to tomorrow's 20 items!

In the meantime, the decluttering has resulted in a few empty spots around the house, including a shelf in one of the bookcases.  It didn't stay empty for long, though:

Today, I am grateful for:
- Being 1/3 done with treatments
- Safe drives to the clinic and back
- Validated parking (I pay $2 with validation; otherwise, it is $7 to park at this clinic; it's $8 at the other clinic and they don't validate)
- Water for the garden
- Being able to work from home during this time

How was your day?

  1. HOT- I was in London and had to go and buy shorts and sleeveless top because I was Overheating! But a good day nonetheless. Happy to be home now, doing lots of laundry and pegging it out to dry in the baking sunshine. Hope you are OK after yesterday's treatment x x

  3. Dancer is obviously confident that he will never be decluttered! I'm amazed at how much you are managing to get rid of. So good to know that you are already a third of the way through your treatments.

I'm thinking of making some more cornbread and am wondering if any recipe will work in the microwave, like the microwave recipe you shared in June. I found a recipe that will use up 2 cups of milk and since the last pouch of milk left a few specks in the coffee yesterday, I set it aside for baking and bought some fresh.
We have been finding a few fresh blueberries in our yard, but this is not a bumper year, so maybe I should read up my book on pruning and see if we can improve things for next summer.

    1. Ha, ha, I do threaten to declutter him, and his fur balls, at times!

As for the cornbread recipe, I suppose any recipe should work. You might have to adjust the cooking time depending on the amount of batter. Or make several smaller batches and freeze?

  4. Love, love, love the picture of Dancer on the shelf. He's claiming "his" territory :)

    1. Oh, he has certainly claimed his space! He was back up there, yesterday, too. Now I won't be able to use that shelf as a display area!
