Good News on Wednesday

Good News

My mammogram results arrived in the mail, today, and the results are NORMAL!  What a blessing! Thank goodness!  It's what I had been hoping and praying for!  Yes, the blood test cancer markers have been good, but, seeing the results in writing had me crying happy tears!  The first thing I did was turn on the altar light and give thanks.  Then, I texted the good news to my daughter, who rejoiced with me.

I woke up at 9:00 a.m., today.  The bags of donations I had set out last night had already been collected and a receipt left.  I had a cup of tea and ate a mango for breakfast.  Then, I watched the tail end of the first half of the Mueller Testimony and the entire second half.  I am not willing to discuss politics on my blog, but, these are interesting times in which we live.

Friend M shared pictures of flowers in his garden:

Aren't they lovely?

Lunch was a salad with chicken; yogurt for dessert.  I haven't decided on dinner, yet.  Maybe some fried rice or scrambled egg on toast.

It's going to be another hot day.  We haven't reached our high of the day, yet, but it is 101F at 2:00 p.m.  It is still in the mid 80s inside the house, however, and I am comfortable with the ceiling fan on in the family room.  But, not comfortable enough to do housework!  That's my excuse and I am sticking to it!  LOL.

Inside Temperature at 2:00 p.m.

Today, I am grateful for:
- Good mammogram results
- Answered prayers
- Mail carriers who deliver the mail, walking up and down the street in this heat
- Electricity to run fans, TVs, and computers
- A relaxed day

How is your Wednesday coming along?

  2. So delighted to hear about your great mammogram results. No housework - just celebrate! You can always do the housework when the temperature goes down some. The housework isn't going to run away and abandon you, you know. It will be happy to wait for you and it likely won't be any worse than it is today!

    1. Thank you, Bushlady. Yes, I might just skip the housework, today and try to get up early, tomorrow, and vacuum before it gets too hot.

  3. That’s fantastic news about the mammogram, Bless. 😊

    Mr. M’s flowers are beautiful.

I had a lazy Wednesday. Finished one book (Donna Leon’s Death in a Strange Country) and then started Dear Mrs Bird by A. J. Pearce.
I watched a little bit of Muller’s Testimony and decided to watch the entire thing later.

I'm glad you got to relax and read, today. That's what I did too! I finished reading "Dear George, Dear Mary" by Mary Calvi.

    1. Thank you, Live and Learn.

Ha, ha, we'll have to see. Yesterday was a "two fans" day - both the ceiling fan AND a stand fan, focused directly at me! Today is supposed to be slightly cooler. We are even having a very light drizzle as I type this! Barely enough to wet the ground, but enough to make it nice and muggy!

    1. Aren't they lovely? I think I should plant some zinnias, myself!

Are you doing OK in this heat? Although, today is a bit cooler - we got a little drizzle, this morning; did you get any?

Thank you! I got my lab test results today and they were good, too, for the most part. I need to lose weight, though! (But, then, I knew that, already!)
