Catching Up on Tuesday

I didn't post, yesterday.  Monday wasn't such a good day for me.  I woke up at 6:00 a.m., after going to sleep at 2:00 a.m., and couldn't fall back asleep.  So I got up and checked my office emails, emailed back and forth with my supervisor a bit, did some office work, etc.  But I felt nauseated and not quite up to it.  Finally, I took one of my anti-nausea pills and took an afternoon nap.  Felt better after the nap, but was tired, still.  I was not very productive, yesterday.

Monday's declutterings included 10 more items of clothing:

June 13 Decluttering

I went to sleep fairly early, last night and slept for almost 12 hours!

I feel better, today.  But will continue to take it easy.

Today's decluttering included 5 items of clothing and some other bits and pieces:

June 14 Decluttering
5 items of clothing
1 instant camera
1 bag of party supplies (birthday banner, matching candle, party favor bags, table decoration, etc.)
2 play tiaras (count as 1 item)
1 purse
1 packet of markers

These will all be donated.  There were a few other items that were tossed, which I didn't count (2 inflatable beach balls, Halloween costume accessories, etc.)

I now have 8 bags of items set aside to be donated.  Once I have about 20 bags, I will call for a pick up.

Today, I am grateful for:

- Anti-nausea medications
- Afternoon naps
- A good night's sleep
- Being able to work from home around my crazy sleep patterns
- Being able to declutter and share the abundance!

How was your Monday?

Hope you are having a good Tuesday.

  1. I am so sorry you were sick.. Be sure to rest ,when you need to.. Don't over do.. Proud you slept the 12 hrs. , as I know you needed to catch up on some of that missed sleep.
Your decluttering is going fantastic. I didn't do any today, spent the day with my daughter & granddaughter.[she is a teacher, and they are out of school].It was so nice to spend the day with them. But, tomorrow my plans are to go through our dresser drawers and declutter them.
    sending prayers your way..

    1. Judy, how lovely that you were able to spend the day with your daughter and granddaughter. You can declutter, later. I'm sure you did a lot already, before you moved.

It seems like, now that my treatment is over, the fatigue is catching up with me! I needed another nap this afternoon, but at least no nausea, so that is good. Even though I finished the treatments, the chemicals and toxics are still in my system, still doing their work. It takes a few days for me to feel better.

  2. I'm sorry you weren't feeling food yesterday, Bless. That last chemo session must have been a doozy. It seems that it's had the strongest effect on you yet, no? Take it easy and sleep when you can. I hope you had a better day today.

    1. Thanks, Nathalie. Yes, the last chemo has had a strong effect. I don't know if it was a stronger dose than usual, but someone else I spoke to also said that she had a very hard time recovering from her last chemo session, as well. She said she couldn't get out of bed for 3 days! At least it wasn't quite that bad for me. But I did take it easy today. Hopefully I'll be back to normal, tomorrow.

  3. Sorry to hear you weren't feeling so good yesterday but glad to hear you managed to get a good nights sleep and that the anti-sickness tablets seem to have worked.

There's not much that really gets thrown away here when I de-clutter. I either put it to one side for a car boot sale or take it to the charity shop which makes me doubly happy; a de-cluttered house and somebody hopefully benefitting from what we no longer need.

Have to say you are going great guns with the project. Well done :) xx

    1. Thank you, Suzanne. Sounds like you keep up with regular declutterings and that's why you don't have much to throw away. I haven't had a good clear out in a long time, so, there are some things that are too shabby to give away!

  4. I'm sorry you weren't feeling good. Hope you are still getting better. Good job decluttering. I need to do a lot of it. You really have no idea how much junk you accumulate until you move.

    1. Lovely to hear from you, Jess. Yes, I'm slowly getting better. You are right; you don't realize how much you've accumulated until you have to move. I haven't moved in nearly 25 years, so, you can imagine how much there is! Have to keep up with regular decluttering to keep things under control.

  5. I hope you will soon be over the side effects of the chemo and getting good sleep and plenty of energy.

I think you should retain one of the tiaras as you are obviously continuing in your role of the tossing Queen! Well done to get rid of so much in such a short time.

    1. Thank you, Bushlady. I would be happy to be over the side effects and have more energy, etc., that's for sure!

He, he, I did think about keeping one of the tiaras! One never knows when a tiara might come in handy! But that's the kind of thinking that gets me in trouble! Better to let it go!

  6. Thinking of you and hoping you're feeling better today and you were able ro get some rest. Maybe you could take some time off from work to really relax? You've maintained an active work schedule thru treatments ... You deserve some "me" time too! :) Sending good wishes!!!

    1. Thank you, Carolyn. I was busy with office work, today. I will try to take a little time off after I finish the radiation; maybe a week off before I go back to the office. It's going to feel strange going back to the office!
