More Roses

Double Delight Rose

I went to sleep by 11:30 p.m., last night, but didn't fall asleep until after 1:00 a.m.  Even so, I woke up before the alarm went off at 7:00 a.m.

I went for another injection this morning.  There was more traffic congestion, today, but I was on time for my appointment.

More Double Delight Roses

After I came home, I brought in the trash cans and then, took a walk around the back garden and admired the roses.  As you can see, I took more pictures!

Red Roses

I did some office-related work, today, but didn't feel up to doing any more paperwork and filing of my own.  I needed to take another couple of Tylenols for my aches and pains and, later, I took a short nap in the afternoon.

Pink Roses

It was a sunny, bright day for the most part, but, in the early evening, it became cloudy and we had a brief shower of rain and hail!  It wasn't a lot of rain, but I am grateful for what we received.  I tried to take a picture of the hail, but the cell phone camera didn't capture it.

White Roses in the Back and Lilac Roses in the Front

The rose beds really need to be weeded, but I've not been able to do much weeding, lately.

I had phone calls from three of my cousins, today, all calling to check on me.  In the evening, I video chatted with my daughter.  So it has been a good day for family interactions.

Pink Roses

Today, I am grateful for:

- A safe drive to the clinic and back.
- Another day of relatively minor side effects.
- Video chatting with daughter.
- Even a brief shower of rain.
- Calls from cousins.

How was your Tuesday?

  1. Sigh... your roses are so gorgeous! Thanks for sharing them with us. I especially like that Double Delight variety, it's stunning! Some of your roses seem to be in the shade... do you find that they do better in the shade? Mine are in pots but they are in the sun most of the day. I was thinking about growing some on the front of the house but it's mostly in the shade.

I hope you get some rest, enjoy your nap and your garden!

    1. Thank you. Actually, roses need full sun, so it's good that yours are in the sun. Some of my roses get some morning shade, but they are in the sun for the rest of the time.

  2. Your roses are beautiful! And so glad you had a nice Spring break with your daughter. Did the hail damage any of your garden plants? Hope not. Hoping you feel better soon and the aches subside. :)

    1. Thank you, Carolyn. No, the hail did no damage - they weren't very big and there wasn't a lot of it, either. Today has been a good day, so far, with no side effects. I usually feel fine for a couple of days before it's time for the next treatment!

  3. Oh my Bless... those roses are beautiful. I know you are enjoying being able to walk in your garden and smelling the beautiful roses and looking at their beauty.
Proud you got to your appointment on time.. Take it easy ...
All was good here.. I went to daughters house and sit with her 14 yr old. She had to go to work, and grand daughter was sick. So, I did a little tidy work for her. Then came home and painted my front door. So, I am tired..ha

    1. Thank you, Judy. Sorry to hear your granddaughter was sick; hope she feels better, soon. Nice of you to do some tidying while you were there. I'm sure your daughter appreciated that. And if that wasn't enough, you painted your front door, as well! Hope you have a relaxing evening after all that work!

    1. Thank you! The gardener and I think it is my mother's spirit tending the garden, because I really don't do anything special.
