Dancer and his Cat Grass |
I've
had a very relaxed day, today. I slept in a bit, then, swept
the bathroom and did a load of laundry. Then, I watched some TV and
sewed on my quilt. Later in the afternoon, daughter went grocery
shopping for me and I did the dishes from breakfast and lunch, etc. Later in the evening, I cooked some smoked sausages and rice for dinner. And spoke with my aunt on the phone. But, for
the most part of the day, I sewed. The quilt is coming along well.
Gardener M sowed a pot of cat grass seeds for Dancer and for the past couple of weeks, I've been watering it and making sure it got enough sunlight. The cat grass grew well and today, I let Dancer have a taste of it. He loved eating his cat grass. I didn't let him have the whole pot, though. He can have some more, tomorrow.
It was an overcast and cloudy day, today, but it didn't rain. Maybe we'll get the rain, tomorrow.
Today, I am grateful for:
- Fresh, home grown cat grass for Dancer cat
- A relaxed day
- Time to sew on my quilt
- Daughter doing the grocery shopping for me
- Phone call from aunt
How was your Saturday?
You have a sweet cat! Glad you are feeling more relaxed and I think the sewing helps - it is so relaxing. x
ReplyDeleteThank you. Dancer is actually my daughter's cat, but I am the one who feeds him, etc., especially now that daughter is away at university.
DeleteThe sewing is definitely relaxing. And I love the fact that the quilt top is finally nearing the end - I just have 11 more flowers to attach. It takes me about 3 days to attach a flower and it's outer circle of "leaves". How is your patchwork quilt coming along?
Proud you have had a good day. Sewing and being relaxed is wonderful -- love those kind of days.
ReplyDeleteDancer is beautiful. I had never heard of cat grass, is it really for cats??
Have a blessed day.
Thank you, Judy. The package of seeds came with the label "Cat Grass". Sometimes, in the pet food aisle of the grocery store, one can find a pre-grown pot of grass seeds meant for cats. The pet store has them, too. It's supposed to be good for their digestive systems.
DeletePretty cat. I bought some cat grass seeds a long time ago, but never got around to doing it.
ReplyDeleteIf you still have them, you might give it a try, although if they are too old, they might not all germinate. If your cats are outdoor cats, then, they probably get all the grass they need anyway. Dancer is an indoors only cat, so, we have to provide him with the occasional greens.
