I
cooked myself a substantial breakfast (eggs, potatoes, and ham,
followed by a fresh orange) and had a late lunch of a type of flat bread with sauted, spicy onions. Dinner was a noodle dish that a cousin brought over. She also brought me a loaf of bread I had asked her to buy for me when she went grocery shopping.
I spent the evening video chatting with daughter and listening to my neighbor's loud party music!
Today, I am grateful for:
- A day of rest and relaxation, sewing and knitting.
- Cousin bringing me dinner (and the loaf of bread I requested).
- Phone call from out-of-state cousin.
- Video chatting with daughter.
- Daily emails from a friend.
How was your Saturday?
You sound really relaxed, and that's great! I hope the party next door didn't go on too long! x
ReplyDeleteThank you! The party music ended at a fairly decent hour. In the past, these neighbors have had a live band playing in their outdoor patio area till way past midnight! And once they had one of their loud parties on a week night - that time, another neighbor got so angry that the cops were called! Since then, they've been good about lowering the volume of their music after midnight. And I am fine with that because I rarely go to sleep before midnight.
DeleteSo happy your friends and family are being so helpful. Bringing you meals.
ReplyDeleteI know it is so hard, when you cant go to the grocery store or do any shopping.. But you are hanging in there.. So proud of you.
Thank you, Judy. Daughter does the grocery shopping for me when she comes down and I still have half the food I cooked and froze in anticipation of this time, but it makes me feel cared for and loved when friends and family bring me food. :)
