I am finally starting to feel better after my last chemo session. I know because the energy is coming back and I am getting stuff done!
First thing this morning, I swept the bathroom floor - the cat's litter box is in my bathroom and there's nothing I hate more than stepping out of the shower onto some stray litter he's kicked out!
Then, I went for my blood test. Even the girl who drew my blood commented that I looked much better than I did the last time I was there, a couple of weeks ago.
Since I had been fasting for the blood test, I came home and cooked myself a good breakfast - hash brown potatoes and a scrambled egg, with apple juice to drink.
After breakfast, I settled down to do some office related work. Another completed assignment was sent back, this evening.
In between, I did a load of laundry and I vacuumed the bedrooms, hallway, and kitchen. I plan to vacuum the rest of the house maybe tomorrow or over the weekend.
Today, I walked around the garden and admired another rose that has bloomed (although I didn't take a picture), and went through the day's mail (mostly junk mail). I had three meals and did the dishes and still feel fairly energetic at almost 8:30 p.m. Compared to last week when I went to bed at 7:00 p.m. on some nights because I was so tired. A good thing I am still up and about because I will be picking up daughter from the airport, later tonight. It's something I wasn't up to doing last week on her last visit - she had to ask a friend of hers for a ride home from the airport.
Today, I am grateful for:
- Feeling so much better/practically back to normal
- Being productive and getting stuff done
- Daughter will be coming home tonight
- Rain in the forecast
- Roses in bloom
How was your day, today? Did you have a good day?
So good to read this - may you continue to grow in strength each day. Today is the Women's World Day of Prayer- and I will be remembering all my friends around the world - God bless you always x

DeleteI'm so glad that you are feeling so much better and I pray that this continues. I'm sure your daughter noticed the difference, too, which will be rather like an extra birthday present for her! I hope you have a specially good visit together.

Thank you, Bushlady. We had a special birthday lunch, today, to celebrate. It feels so good to have her home for the weekend. And I know she feels happy to have me feel better again.
DeleteI don't think your cat's litter box should be in your bathroom if you're not supposed to be cleaning it. Do you have another bathroom?
ReplyDeleteYes, there is another bathroom, but it is too small to accommodate the litter box.
DeleteI set my cat's litter box in the bathtub of the second bathroom. That keeps the litter off of the floor pretty much and doesn't take up any room. You could also set a litter box in the shower. Cats get the hang of it pretty quickly.
DeleteThanks for the suggestion. Worth giving it a try!
