Monday's Doings

I had a fairly productive day on Monday, as far as the office work was concerned.  I both emailed and phoned my supervisor to go over the status of various assignments and also to inform her that I am almost done with my current assignment and to request additional work.  She will assign me a new project during the course of this week, she said.

However, I have started to feel some side effects from Friday's chemo session.  Bone/muscle aches and some lower abdominal cramping.  I took some Tylenol for the pain, which is what I was told to do, and dozed on the sofa with a heating pad for the cramping.  At least I wasn't nauseated.  But the aches and pains meant I didn't feel like doing anything much, such as my sewing.  So I had a quiet day apart from the office work.

Daughter, too, had a quiet, restful day.  She did one of her homework assignments, took the trash cans to the curb for me and generally kept me company.

Today, I am grateful for:
- Getting the office work done without any problems
- An afternoon nap on the sofa
- Relatively mild side effects
- A quiet, restful day
- Daughter keeping me company

How was your Monday?  Did you have a good start to your week?

  1. Sending good wishes that your side effects don't get too severe. So nice that your daughter is there with you ... She's a pleasant distraction to keep your focus off the discomfort. Had a nice Monday ... Am turning half of our guest room into a craft space for me and I'm tickled pink! Hope you're feeling better today!
