Newly Planted Roses Blooming |
I have had another good day, today. No aches and pains, no nausea, no need for pain medications, appetite OK, etc. So happy to have had another good day.
In the morning, I went for my blood tests. When I came home, I took some pictures of the roses that were newly planted in the front garden, earlier this year. They are burgundy iceberg roses and they are blooming!
Most iceberg roses are white, like this one, also growing in the front garden:

I spent most of the day doing office work. Later, I did a bit of tidying up, washed a pile of dishes, and did some reading.
Then, later in the evening, I picked up daughter from the airport! This time she was only gone for three days and I barely had time to miss her! I told her it was not necessary for her to come down again, but she doesn't want me to go to my chemo therapy sessions by myself, so she insisted on coming. She's worried in case I get some of the more severe side effects. Of course, I am happy to have her home for the weekend, as I enjoy her company. Also, I can have her do some grocery shopping for me!

Today, I am grateful for:
- Another good, side effects-free day.
- A safe drive to the lab and back.
- A productive day.
- Daughter had a safe flight home.
- All the pretty flowers.
How was your Thursday?
So glad you are having good days where you are feeling well and enjoying time with your daughter! :)
ReplyDeleteYour roses are lovely! I enjoy your pictures. :)
Thank you, Dawn. Is it spring yet, up where you are?
DeleteWell, we thought it was officially Spring because we had some beautifully sunny days in the 60 degree range- we enjoyed being outside in tee shirts and soaking up the sun while working in the yard. But the very next day we were hit with blizzard-like snow conditions! It's been going back and forth like that for weeks so we just make sure we have the winter coats hanging on the coat rack as well as the lightweight jackets. :)
DeleteI think out here in WI we just have to be prepared to go with the flow of the weather and expect anything. :)
Winters do tend to drag out, there. One year, it snowed during spring semester finals week, in May! They used to say they had two seasons: winter and July! LOL. August was pretty good, too, as I recall.
DeleteIt's so good that your daughter is with you - I would worry as well! I am fascinated by the burgundy iceberg roses. I have only heard of the white ones before, and they look so beautiful. x
ReplyDeleteSeems like she's over protective of me, just as I tend to be over protective of her! :D
DeleteThe burgundy roses do add some color to the garden, don't they?
Love the burgundy iceberg roses.. Such a pretty color.
ReplyDeleteHappy you had another good day.. and proud Daughter had a safe fight home. She is a good daughter.
Praying for your next chemo treatment.
Thank you, Judy.
DeleteI'm glad you had a good day and daughter arrived home safely.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jess. All this flying back and forth tends to get a bit expensive, but we are willing to spend extra during this time; her visits help us both.
