Today, I drove up north to visit my daughter for the weekend! I decided to drive up today so I could spend all day Saturday and Sunday with her. I'll drive myself home again, on Monday.
So, this morning, I packed the car with a few items daughter had requested I bring up with me - including the quilt I was repairing for her - and some of the food I had cooked and frozen, earlier. Then, I set off on the 400 mile drive. I was concerned that I'd encounter some morning-commute traffic, but traffic was light and I had a good drive. Daughter had classes until early afternoon, so, I didn't want to arrive too early. At the same time, I didn't want to get caught in the evening-commute traffic at the other end, either. I made two rest stops en route and arrived at my destination at 3:00 p.m., as planned.
Later in the evening, I took daughter grocery shopping. Then, we spent the evening chatting and enjoying being together.
Tomorrow, we've planned to do some shopping and explore some of the area to the north of her.
How was your Friday? Did anyone else have a long drive, today?
