Thursday's Productivity

Another warm day, today, with a high of 86F.

As soon as I reached the office, I realized that I had left my reading glasses at home!  Oops!  So, I spent most of the day squinting at the computer screen.  Sigh.  I had another pair of glasses with me, they are the ones I use for sewing, etc., but for some reason, they don't work too well for viewing the computer screen - too blurry.  Thus the need for squinting.  It was quite frustrating.

After I came home, I watered the back garden.  Then, I wrote a couple of emails to friends and video chatted with daughter.

And I started decluttering!  So, today, I put aside 4 blouses to donate and tossed a pair of holey socks.

How was your Thursday?

  1. Reading about other people's day is so relaxing to me. I always enjoy posts like this. :)
Thursday was spent trying to put my house back together. We have all been sick with the flu in our house for a week. It looks like a tornado blew through every room of the house and the toybox threw up! There is a mountain of laundry to be done, more dishes than I thought we even had in the house to be washed, bedsheets to be changed and a million other things. On top of starting to do all that I worked up enough strength to make a large pot of chicken noodle soup yesterday, which everyone really needed, since we are all still in different stages of the recovery mode. Late last night I got an unexpected, welcome burst of energy at 9pm and made myself go out for the first time in a week- I went to walmart to get ingredients to make my son a bday cake this weekend and meat for his favorite dinner- tacos. I'm glad I got it done yesterday because today I feel like I just took a couple steps back again and I'm fighting the urge to crawl back in bed. Cant wait until we get rid of all the cooties in the house and can enjoy the spring-ish weather we are having. :)

    1. Dawn, so sorry to hear that you've been sick. Hope you all feel better, soon. The chicken soup has to help. Don't over-do things, though. Take it slow. By the way, I liked the expression "the toybox threw up!" Very descriptive! LOL.

    1. It's amazing how soon things accumulate, isn't it? I saw how nicely you had tidied your sewing room. I'm glad you are getting a head start with the spring cleaning.
