Monthly Photo Challenge - October: Autumn Colors

Time to post the few photos I took for the Monthly Photo Challenge hosted by Eileen at A Bracelet of Days.  October's theme was "Autumn Colors".  It didn't need to be restricted to color changes in nature, she stated, which was good for me because there isn't much color changes in foliage in my area, but, a few trees in my garden tried their best to oblige:

Pomegranate Tree

Plum Tree

Asian Pear Tree

More Asian Pear Leaves

Autumn Themed Paper Plates and Napkins

Crocheted Granny Square

Autumn Floral Arrangements

Being Closely Inspected

What's More Autumn than a Jack-O-Lantern?

A Jack-O-Lantern with a Scarecrow!

"Hello, Scarecrow"

Dancer Finds a New Friend!

Thank you for this opportunity to participate in the monthly photo challenges, Eileen.  Dancer and I both enjoyed it!

  1. Yay, you managed to fit Dancer in. I wondered how you were going to do it this time.

You've found a great selection of photos and I especially like the Asian pear leaves. Many thanks for joining in Bless. x

    1. Ha, ha, yes! I got him in! My first thought was to have him lie down on or next to the Halloween table runner, but, in the end, I didn't bother with the table runner.
Thank you! The photo of the Asian pear leaves were taken early in the month and just in time, too, because a day or two later, we had a strong wind and all the yellow leaves dropped!
I had fun participating, Eileen; thank you for hosting the challenges!

  2. lol - Dancer finds a new friend.
I liked all of your photos. The plum leaves turned a nice color with some interesting variegation on the leaves.

  4. Well done & I'm glad to see that your Inspection Officer joined in with the fun. Cute jack o'lantern mug & your crocheted square reminded me of a sunflower.

    1. Thank you, Mary-Lou; yes, Dancer had to join in! The mug was a gift from my half-sister to my daughter when she was a little girl. :)

  5. That was a fun prompt. And once again Dancer wants everyone to know that he is the star of the show no matter what the theme. :)

  6. Very fun snapshots, that mug makes me smile - I love a happy Jack-o-lantern rather than a spooky one.

  7. I like the second Asian pear photo but my very fave is the one of the beautiful napkins! How lucky to have had those in the house. (I would have bought them too, if I had seen them in a shop!)

    1. Thank you, Lady Ella. The napkins were bought a couple of years ago (pre-Covid!) from the dollar store, for one of the monthly prayer gatherings (I used to host the October one and would get autumn themed napkins, etc.) I still have most of the packet left. I'll use some for Thanksgiving, this year. The paper plate was saved from when neighbor S brought over some treats, earlier; I knew I could take a photo of it for the challenge! :D
