Spring Joy List

Spring.  Warmer, longer days and all the joys of this season of renewal and growth!

At the end of my Winter Joy List Update, I asked if anyone will be doing a Spring Joy List of their own.  Angela, at Tracing Rainbows, has, and has taken it up a notch, too, by posting an acrostic Spring Joy List!   I love it and the picture and quote, too.

I already do several things on a daily basis that bring me joy.  They include:
- Prayer and contemplation
- Drinking my tea in my favorite cups
- Chats with my daughter
- Exchanging emails with a good friend
- Blogging

The spring joy list consists of additional joyful activities that I hope to engage in, during the period of March 21 to June 20.  I don't want to make this another "to do" list, as such, but, rather, ways in which to enjoy each day more fully.

1.  Open windows to let in the fresh, warmer air
2.  Garden flowers and greenery in the house
3.  Time spent outside, in the garden
4.  Playing with fabric
5.  Evening walks
6.  Oranges fresh from the tree
7.  Reading (and, perhaps, napping!)
8. Taking the time for craft projects

What brings you joy?

  1. I can't wait to breathe in some warm spring air. I'm looking forward to being able to hang my washing on the line to dry and drinking tea in the garden. X

    1. I hope spring arrives soon for you, Jules. I'm looking forward to seeing your photos of your countryside in the spring. :)

  2. Playing with words brings me joy. I rearranged your list, and got an acrostic for the Italian word "progetto" which means plan! I'm still slightly envious that you can pick oranges straight from the tree!

    1. I could certainly do with a plan, Angela. I had another orange, fresh from the tree, today. :)

  3. This is a lovely list Bless. I originally decided against another Joy List as I am so close to finishing the decluttering and the house and I have an idea for celebrating at the end. However, I may rethink that decision after reading your list as I like the idea of celebrating and appreciating the little things that make life special. Thank you xx

    1. Thank you, Eileen. Maybe you can incorporate getting the house ready and the celebration in your Joy List. I am looking for those simple joys, such as spending an afternoon reading, or listening to some music. :)

  4. Blogging has become a great joy for me. I know that sounds silly, but I love recording my struggles and being real anonymously. Akasha is not my legal name, it’s a name I took a long time for religious reasons. I love finding the right art to put on each post. I love to pray and meditate at a park in the city called Eleanor Tinsley. I also love to go to the arboretum, and my daughter and I are laying the ground this weekend for a “no dig garden” (which yes I’ll blog about!)

    1. I don't think it sounds silly; I know I have made some good friends through blogging, even if I haven't met them in real life. I'm looking forward to reading about your no dig garden!

  5. Lovely list of things that bring you joy. I've never had an orange fresh from a tree, but I'm sure it would make me happy as well.

    Blessings~

    1. Thank you! There's something very special about picking a fruit fresh from a tree and eating it only a few minutes later. Thank you for stopping by and commenting. :)

  6. I enjoyed Angela's acrostic, and I like your list I could almost use it but would have to omit the oranges. Perhaps wild strawberries might fit in there as I think they ripen in late spring. Or I could add listening to sap dripping into the pails and smelling the syrup as it evaporates into a golden delight.

    1. Angela's acrostic was very clever, wasn't it? Wild strawberries would be a good substitute for the fresh oranges. Or, your own homemade maple syrup on pancakes!

  7. I love your joy list.

Pottering around the house, chats with mom and sisters, reading, crafting, chats with friends bring me joy throughout the year.
In spring , I love longer days, cool weather and flowers in the garden.
