Under the Weather on Friday

Still not feeling 100%, today.  In fact, I went back to bed, in the morning, after I had a cup of tea and took two Tylenols.  I didn't do anything that was on my to do list, either.  Instead of sewing a new silver lining to daughter's black shawl, I just ironed the shawl - it's for her to wear as a wrap with her dress, tomorrow evening.

Daughter toasted a bagel for me for brunch and she ran to the store to get me some orange juice.  I've taken two more Tylenols and am feeling a little better, but, will rest in the evening.  Daughter will be attending the wedding rehearsal dinner; her friend will give her a ride to it and back.

I am expecting M to come to tend to the garden, later in the evening.  I will ask him to take down the window air conditioner unit, too.  I only used it twice, this whole summer - it was almost not worth putting it up!  LOL.

Today, I am grateful for:
- Daughter being home
- Daughter going to the store for orange juice for me
- Tylenol
- Being able to rest
- M coming to attend to the garden for me

Tomorrow, daughter will attend her friend's wedding.  It will be an all day thing, apparently, with photographs being taken in the morning and the ceremony taking place in the afternoon and going on till night!  I am hoping I'll feel well enough to catch up with all the stuff I didn't do, today!

How was your Friday?  What are your plans for the weekend?

    1. Thank you, Barb. I'm starting to feel better, now, but, unfortunately, my daughter has caught it and having a sore throat and the sniffles. Today is her friend's big day, so, she's dosed herself with ibuprofen and has gone to attend the day's festivities! I'm planning a restful day, at home. Hope all is well with you and your daughter - you are both in my prayers.

  2. Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. Have you tried fresh garlic? I find that to be such an excellent cure all. What does the Tylenol do for you? I know it's helpful for pain relief...I got my oil changed, cleaned the cottage, watered the garden and orchard, and fed the roses.

    1. Thank you, Stephenie. No, I haven't tried fresh garlic. The Tylenol helped with the aches and pains - my whole body was hurting. I have bone and joint aches from the cancer medications I take on a daily basis, anyway, but, I rarely take anything for that. However, whatever I'm having now just made everything feel worse and the Tylenol helped with that.

You had a very busy day and got a lot done! Hope you have a lovely, relaxed weekend.

We went out for breakfast with friends this morning (Saturday), then wandered around the Farmers' Market in beautiful sunshine.

  10. Drink plenty of fluids and get plenty of rest is always what the doctor orders. Sounds like that's what you're doing. Hope you continue to improve and it doesn't hit your daughter too hard.

    1. Yes, I'm drinking orange juice and water, and resting. I went to bed before midnight, last night, and actually fell asleep! Then, went back to bed, this morning, after my daughter left, and dozed off for a bit. There might even be an afternoon nap...

I'm feeling very sorry for my daughter, because she has a full day, today. But, I'm hoping she will feel well enough to enjoy the day.
