Friday the Thirteenth!

Friday the Thirteenth was a rather warm day, here, with a daytime high of 98F, according to the weather forecast.

I called the gynecologist's office in the morning to find out about the test results and was told that the results were normal.  I was very happy to hear that.

Today, I did the dishes, changed the sofa dust covers, did a load of laundry, and did some sewing.

Friend F called in the afternoon and asked if I could give her a ride to the monthly prayer gathering, next week, and I said yes.

Later in the evening, friend M came over to tend to the garden.  He sprayed the peach tree with something because a type of insect is boring into it and damaging the tree.  I don't normally use any pesticides in the garden, but I want to try and save the peach tree.  M watered the garden for me, as well.

Daughter called and we had a long conversation and later, we video chatted, as well.

I didn't go for a walk, today, as it was too hot during the evening and, by the time it had cooled down, it was too dark to go walking.

Today, I am grateful for:
- The good news from the gynecologist's office
- Working appliances
- M tending to the garden
- Long conversations with my daughter
- Cooler evenings

How was your Friday the Thirteenth?

  1. It's always be a relief to be told the results have come back normal.
Friday 13th was fun for me. Fish and chips at the seaside followed by a Firework display. (Some normal results for me too.)

  2. That's fantastic news on the test results ... I'm so pleased for you.

It's got warmer again here, but not the high temperatures you have to deal with. Maybe autumn can be delayed for a few more weeks!

    1. Thank you, Eileen. I was very happy with the results, as you can imagine. :)

September tends to be a very hot month for us. Our autumn doesn't arrive until mid-October at the earliest. I really don't mind, as you know I'll have that heater turned on the moment we go down to below 70F!

    1. Thank you, Natalia. My peach "tree" is still a small sapling, that was planted in January of this year. I haven't had any fruit from it, yet. I am hoping, though, that it will survive and produce some peaches, next year. I used to have another peach tree which produced wonderful peaches, but, it died during the drought. There's nothing so wonderful as fresh peaches from the tree

  4. I'm glad to hear that your results from the sonogram were normal. Something you don't have to worry about now.

My Friday the 13th was normal. Go to work, clean the house, and have several meetings. I was disappointed that it was cloudy so we couldn't see the Harvest Moon.

    1. Thank you, Live and Learn. I was very relieved.

I'm sorry you couldn't see the harvest moon due to the cloud cover. Maybe you might still be able to see it, tonight - it would still be quite big, I think.

    1. Thank you, Sharon. Maybe you can plant an apple tree or cherry tree. They should do well, up there, I think. The raccoons and the deer will thank you! :D

Friday was a fun day for me. A friend and I took a short trip to a nearby town, and I bought a crochet book for $2. 😊

    1. Hi Susie, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Yes, I like to count my blessings; I feel I have many things for which to be grateful. I like the praying part of your day, but, no so much the "worry, stress, cry" part! I hope the praying took care of the worrying, stressing, and crying!

  9. How wonderful that your test results were fine.
Friday 13th was pleasant, I had breakfast with a friend and then we went to church, and later I went into town with my husband. The night was stormy and we had torrential rain, but Saturday was fine. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out something on my computer. Google leads me into all kinds of interesting discoveries.
