I sewed on the baby quilt:
Quilt Binding |
Aunt C called and we had a nice chat. She and cousin N are planning to come to breakfast, next Wednesday. It will be nice to see them, again.
I called neighbor T to check on her and was happy to hear that she was feeling better. She said an electrician was coming by to attend to something and she was a little nervous about being alone during his visit. I told her to call me if she wanted me to come over to be with her, but, she called me back, later, to say she was OK and didn't need me to come over.
In the evening, I started knitting a sweater with the blue wool I bought on clearance.
Today, I am grateful for:
- The sewing machine worked well, again
- Phone calls from aunt
- A cooler day
- The few drops of drizzle we received
- Emails from a friend
Plans for tomorrow include finishing the baby quilt and starting on the Halloween table runner.
How was your Thursday? What are your plans for Friday?
I'm supposed to be getting ready for the new starters at band and then an afternoon of cooking but I've reached a good part in my book and can't out it down so that will all have to wait!!
ReplyDeleteI like the colours of the baby quilt. That's a beautiful blue for the binding.
LOL, Eileen, sounds like you've got your priorities right! :D Hope you enjoyed reading your book!
DeleteThank you; the binding is the darkest color on the quilt, as you will see when I post a picture of the whole thing, but, it works well, I think.
You had a productive day. 😊 I hope you will post a photo of the finished quilt. 😊
ReplyDeleteMy Thursday was ok. I think I’m getting a cold. So, vitamin C, and lots of liquids and rest are on my plans for Friday.
Oh, poor you, not another cold! Didn't you have one just last month, when school started? Yes, lots of vitamin C and fluids. Don't forget the coriander tea!
DeleteYes, I will post a photo of the quilt when I have finished it. :)
I see you're back to sewing again and it's always fun to see your projects.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Live and Learn. I have a couple of sewing projects planned and would like to get them all done before I need to start cleaning the house for the October prayer gathering that I am hosting. :)
DeleteWell, I do hope you share the finished quilt with us. It sounds like a good day in all respects.
ReplyDeleteI shared pictures of the finished quilt in my next post, Susanne. :)
