Weekend Plans

Saturday morning and time to make plans for the weekend!  Otherwise, I am likely to just sit here, watching craft shows and tennis on TV and not do anything!

Weekend To Do List:

Housework:
- Laundry (sofa dust sheets)
- Paperwork/filing
- Tidy family room

Gardening:

- Water the garden (front and back) and indoor plants

- Take plant cuttings
- Buy more mulch if there's a sale

Cooking/Baking:
- Make tomato chutney
- Bake zucchini bread
- Do something with apples
- Cut up and freeze celery

Leisure/Crafts/Hobbies/Me-Time:
- Continue to read library book
- Make a birthday card
- Reply to a letter
- Sew
- Watch crafts & tennis (Wimbledon!) on TV
- Video chat with daughter (of course)
- Call a friend

That seems like a nice, well-balanced weekend - some housework and gardening, some cooking, some relaxing.

What have you planned for the weekend?

  1. Relaxing should always be part of the plan :-)

I finally got to swim in my pool today. I told husband he was watching Little one and I was going to vacuum the pool and swim. So nice. Did some cooking and cleaning. Just played video games and getting ready to go to sleep.

Tomorrow, Sunday - I'm going to swim again. The husband has to go to his grandpa's to fix their computer so we may go with him. Other than that, no plans.

    1. Jess, so glad you got to swim! Especially after all the work you did to get the pool ready. Sounds like you'll have a nice, relaxed day, tomorrow. I hope you'll swim again, tomorrow. Enjoy the day.

  2. I got to enjoy a swim yesterday too. Met friends and had lunch out with them too.

I've mostly tidied the house, done a couple of loads of laundry, grocery shopping and meal planning for next week. DH and I will go to the pool late this afternoon/evening; not before 4pm. Until then, I will be doing a little more tidying, a couple more loads of laundry, making and packing lunches and snacks for next week, cleaning the bathrooms and dusting. DH will vacuum and clean the kitchen. I certainly didn't get around to everything I was hoping to this weekend, but it was a good balance of relaxing and doing necessary things.

    1. Greta, you get so much done! I'm glad you got to swim and get together with friends yesterday, and ill go swimming again, today. You need that break - you work so much. Nice that you got the meal planning done and will prepare lunches and snacks for next week. That should help. :) Have a great day and a wonderful week.
