I decided I didn't need to go grocery shopping this weekend. I still have most of what I bought last weekend! So, this week's meals will be based on what I have on hand, in the fridge, in the freezer, and the pantry.
I took two sauted chicken breasts from the fridge, on Saturday, and had half of one, sliced, with salad for lunch; dinner was spaghetti.
Sunday:
Brunch: Pancakes with strawberry jam
Dinner: Spaghetti
Monday:
Breakfast: Granola bar/yogurt
Lunch: Salad (lettuce, cucumber, carrots, sunflower seeds) with sliced sauted chicken breast; orange
Dinner: Rice, Polish sausage with leeks; pear
Tuesday:

Dinner: Salad with sliced chicken breast; caramelized apple slices with ice-cream
Wednesday:

Of course, the above meal plan is subject to change, depending on what I feel like cooking!
Yesterday, I started on my weekend to do list, but didn't accomplish all I had wanted to do. So, today, I finished yesterday's list and did a little of today's list. I got the "important" things done - the laundry, vacuuming, tidying the family room, running the dishwasher, paperwork, watering the garden and indoor plants, and weeding. But I didn't do the "fun" items such as sewing. Don't you hate when that happens?
Today's gratitude list:
- getting 8 hrs. sleep (rather than my usual 5-6 hrs.)
- ice cream on a warm afternoon
- cooking shows on TV
- having a house to clean
- having a garden to weed
Tomorrow's to do list:
- Drop off specimens at clinic - done
- Go to the office - done
- Go to the pharmacy - done
- Go to the bank
- Pay 2 bills - done
- Go to the post office to mail bills - done
- Go to the library on my way home to return a library book - done
- Empty waste baskets - done
- Take trash cans to curb - done
- Finish weeding 2nd flower bed
- Cook
How was your weekend? Do you have a mile-long to do list for Monday?
It is sad, when we get the work part done...but don't reach the fun stuff, like sewing.ha.. I have been having those days too..
ReplyDeleteLooooong list.. but gradually getting it done.
Judy, it is sad when that happens. I need to better balance my work/fun ratio. You must be quite busy, too, getting everything done. Hope you have a reward, like an afternoon of sewing, planned.
