Today, I went for a fasting blood test in the morning. I had made an appointment for 9:45 a.m.; I got there on time and was called in about 5 minutes after I registered. After the blood test, I came home and ate half a banana for breakfast.
Later, I did two loads of laundry and remade the bed with the freshly washed sheets. Of course, I had some help with the making of the bed:

Afterwards, he had to test it for comfort:

In between doing laundry and making the bed, I practiced the piano, watered the houseplants, did some dusting, did the dishes, watched some TV and cooking videos, and chatted on the phone with friend R.
The good news is, today, I received a letter from Social Security stating my application for Medicare coverage has been approved and I should receive my card in the mail in another two weeks. Yay! I still don't have a number, yet, but, I will contact my friend at the retirement office, tomorrow, and let him know and find out if I should wait until I get the number to submit the rest of the forms or what I should do. But, what a big relief to receive that letter!

Tuesday's To Do List:
Yeah to quick & easy for the blood test & a huge yeah to getting the Medicare acceptance letter. Dancer seems to be so good at his job of comfort testing. Today has only two "have to" on the list; bible study Zoom meeting & a grocery order curbside pick up. After that I think I'll do some of my own quilt comfort testing!ReplyDelete
Thank you! I hope that both your bible study meeting and the grocery pick up go well and you have plenty of time to do some quilt comfort testing, yourself! :DDelete
That's brilliant news about the Medicare acceptance - you must be so relieved.ReplyDelete
I'm glad to see Dancer is still supervising you when necessary 😂
Thank you; yes, I am very relieved! It's something I need!Delete
Oh, he's always on hand to check things out! He has a particular sound that he makes when he wants to know what I am doing and the next thing I know, he's there, "helping" and supervising! :D
Congrats on your Medicare coverage! I love your sweet little helper :)ReplyDelete
Thank you, Martha. He's always willing to help! :)Delete
Good news on the approval!ReplyDelete
I like the quilt on your bed. It's lovely. Hope you have an enjoyable day.
Thank you, Sharon. I'm relieved that it has been approved!Delete
The quilt is one I did using a method called "a mile a minute" piecing. I didn't find it to be quite as fast as the name implies, but, it was a good way to use up scraps.
Hope your blood work is perfect! I love that you keep lists and check them off. I do the same thing. It really keeps me on track. xo DianaReplyDelete
Thank you, Diana. Lists are very helpful, aren't they? And writing them down, here, keeps me accountable! :)Delete
Cheeky Dancer. Luckily for me I can easily manage to change the sheets on my bed, it's Lily's Meg which Mog prefers.ReplyDelete
Fingers crossed for your blood test results. X
Ha, ha, I guess Mog wants to make sure that Lily's bed is made just so!Delete
Thank you; I'll find out the blood test results on Friday when I go to see the oncologist. :)
Glad your paperwork is moving along. You know that eventually it will all get taken care of, but sometimes it can be a real hassle. I am still getting confusing paperwork from the IRS about my mother who has been gone over two years. There aren't any problems except where they keep making them.ReplyDelete
Thank you, Live and Learn. I have learned NOT to take anything for granted when it comes to medical insurance coverage and any other benefits, especially these days!Delete
As for the confusing letters pertaining to your late mother, I remember receiving all kind of official letters well after my own mother's death, including a jury duty summons! I had to send them a certified copy of her death certificate to have her taken off their list of potential jurors!
I'm so glad you got the notification from SS about your Medicare approval. It's always good to get the official word and now you don't have to be concerned about it any longer.ReplyDelete
Dancer is such a helper when it comes to making up the bed with clean sheets.
He's such a good cat.
Thank you, Debra. I'm glad I received the letter! Now, of course, I am waiting for the card, itself, so I can submit that with the rest of my paperwork, but, I don't have the stress of uncertainty. :)Delete
Oh, Dancer is the best helper when it comes to making beds! :D I don't know what I'd do without his help! :D
