  1. These are brilliant! Inlay and Intricate!! As for "inches" ... I didn't even think of it. (I may have seen that lovely ruler before but if so, once again I am marvelling at the decoration. Seems that the creativity in your family doesn't begin and end with you and your mum!)

    1. Thank you, Lady Ella. :) My sister is very talented, isn't she? I have several items she has painted.

  2. It is obvious you had some fun with this theme. What a beautiful painting on the ruler! You've captured in photo a perfect example of inscrutable - Dancer lives it!

    1. I did, Mary-Lou. :) My sister likes to paint and make cards, etc. The ruler is one of several items I have that she painted. :) Dancer looks very Zen-like, doesn't he? :D

  4. I love your selection of photos this time ... some very clever thinking to come up with these. I like Dancer being inscrutable but, and please don't tell him because I don't want him to be upset, my favourite is the ruler your sister painted. It's beautiful and your sister is very talented.

Many thanks for joining in with the challenge. The June theme is leaf or leaves.

    1. Thank you, Eileen, and especially for hosting the monthly challenge. :) Ha, ha, no, I won't tell Dancer! The ruler is one of my favorite things that my sister has painted. There was a favorite glass vase, too, that she painted, but, unfortunately, it broke, earlier this month.
Leaves is a good theme for June!

    1. Thank you, Eileen. I love how my sister took such an utilitarian object as a ruler and decorated it! The back of it is painted green. As for Dancer - I try to include him in all my photo challenges! :D

  6. Great ideas for the photo contest and trust Dancer to find a way in!
It was really hot yesterday, rained and thundered in the night, cool today. I attended another funeral, this morning, not a close friend, though. I've been researching an ancestor on the internet after lunch and just remembered that I was halfway through changing the bed when I went out this morning. Time to get back to work!

    1. Thank you, Bushlady. Yes, I have to include Dancer, don't I?
When it is hot and it rains, it gets quite muggy, too, doesn't it? Glad it's cool, today. I'm sorry you had to attend another funeral, today, even if it wasn't a close friend. It's good to leave the bed to air a bit, every now and then. :D

  9. What a unique prompt this month. I always like to see how the mind works to come up with things that wouldn't occur to me. The inlay is quite nice as is the painted ruler. And I love the intricacies of the doily. Did your mother make that?

Good "I" word for that rascal Dancer. lol

    1. I, too, like to see what different people select for each prompt. :) Yes, my mother crocheted the doily; one of several different ones that she made. :)
Dancer is ever obliging when it comes to these photo challenges, isn't he? :D
