On the fourth day of November, it is time to make a list of planned joyful activities for the month! As I've stated earlier, it is not yet another "to do" list, but, rather, a list of joyful activities that I look forward to doing during the month.
November Joys:
- Craft projects/Play with fabric and/or yarn
- Music - play, listen, sing
- Art - draw, color, paint
- Gardening
- Decorating for Fall/Thanksgiving
- Reading
- Participate in the monthly photo mini challenge
- Baking
- Flower arrangements
- Candles
- The possibility of daughter being able to visit for Thanksgiving
- Being alive! (Celebrate birthday #65!)
Some are repeat joys from prior months; others are new joyful activities. But, I am looking forward to a joyful month.
Are you planning to incorporate some intentional joyful activities into your November?
I think joyful lists are a lot better than "to do" lists! I'm going to celebrate being alive too, later this month.
ReplyDeleteMy joy today was smelling the chunk of beef in the crock pot. I love that utensil with a passion, it seems to work by magic with whatever meat and spices, etc. I throw in there! Today there were some garlic and pepper flakes, a little olive oil, a little maple syrup, a little balsamic vinegar all stirred up and spread onto the meat. I sliced a leftover half a cooking onion that was lurking in the fridge and dumped that on top.
I hadn't realized that you, too, have a birthday, this month! :) Your crock pot beef roast sounds delicious!
DeletePerfect! I do hope your daughter will able able to visit for Thanksgiving. I know that would be such a joy for you.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Martha. I am very hopeful that she will be able to visit, but, we have to wait and see.
DeleteOnce again we are in lockdown here, so although work and school continue as normal, I hope to include some joyful activities to ease us through the month ahead. X
ReplyDeleteI hope your month of lockdown will pass quickly and be filled with many joyful activities, Jules. Can you still go for walks in the woods under your lockdown rules?
DeleteYes, fortunately we can. Also, travel in order to exercise is allowed, although this is rather open to interpretation. X
DeleteI'm glad to read that. Well, I guess one shouldn't drive across the country to exercise, but, driving to a nearby nature trail is reasonable. :)
DeleteYour list sounds lovely Bless. When I read your list the word "tranquility" came to mind. Enjoy your month!💖
ReplyDeleteThank you, Susan. I like "tranquility"! :)
DeleteI hope your birthday month is filled with fun projects. I like the term play with yarn! Fingers crossed that your daughter is able to visit you at Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Anne. I shall do my best to find those moments of joy. :)
DeleteGreat list, Bless. You have plenty of variety but obviously the best of the lot is the possibility of your daughter coming home for Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Eileen. Yes, I'm hoping that she will be able to visit. :)
DeleteI love your list. Like you, I enjoy candies, so I bought some treats at TJ Maxx today. Caramels, peppermint bark, and mint chocolate cookies. Yum! How exciting to look forward to a visit with your daughter. I know you are very close.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Stephenie. Yum! Those treats sound delicious! Enjoy!
