Today, I watered the garden, both front and back, paid some bills including my property taxes, practiced the piano, checked on one of my cousins, and spoke with friend R.
Later, I divided up the 3-lb. package of ground turkey and froze two thirds of it. With the balance one third, I made meatballs and made a turkey meatballs curry:
Turkey Meatballs Curry |
Dinner was rice and turkey meatball curry.
I have spent the entire evening and most of the night watching the election coverage on TV. It is still continuing as I type this, at 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
Today, I am grateful for:
- Water for the garden
- Being able to pay my bills
- All the extra ground turkey I received
- Being able to keep in touch with family and friends
- Being an eye witness to history
My joyful activity today was spending time in the garden.
Wednesday's To Do List:
- Vacuum
- Laundry
- Tidy the family room
- Practice the piano
- Water the indoor plants
How was your Tuesday? What are your plans for Wednesday?
It sounds like we're going to be watching election coverage for a while now. It's exciting that so many people voted.
ReplyDeleteIt is, indeed, lovely to see the level of participation, isn't it? I hope it continues.
DeleteI love your gratitude comment of 'being an eye witness to history'. Completely true for so many things but I have never considered it in that way. Thanks Bless x
ReplyDeleteThank you, Eileen. We are living through times that future generations will only read about. :)
DeleteYour meatballs look delicious! I don't think I slept more than an hour last night. I've been glued to election results and still am today.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Martha. Ha, ha, it's reality TV at its best, isn't it? :D
DeleteDH was up in the night checking results, I used it as an excuse to read a few more chapters of a great David Baldacci book called, "One Summer", family stuff, not his usual style and I can't put it down! Well, we are still checking. I hope not in the night again! DDIL is also glued to results. I told her she should come up and join us!
ReplyDeleteWe are still waiting and checking, but, I have a feeling it's going to be a long wait. It is certainly very educational!
DeleteDinner looks delicious. I've been watching the election results. X
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jules. It looks like we'll be watching election results for at least one more day!
DeleteI love meatballs and yours look delicious.
ReplyDeleteSince the election, I am becoming a night owl like you. Staying up late into the night watching the coverage.
Thank you, Debra. I like meatball curries. This is the first time I've tried turkey meatballs, but, I think they turned out quite well.
DeleteIt's turning out to be a real nail-biter of an election, isn't it?
