Better on Tuesday

So, in my dream, last night (or, rather, early this morning), I cleaned out my garage!  I woke up when I took down a curtain that was hanging from the middle of the garage and was getting in my way!  I tell you, I am so productive in my dreams!

I spent another quiet morning, relaxing, while daughter worked.  I put away the laundry from yesterday, replied to blog comments and then, read several other blogs, including some I used to read but had stopped for one reason or another (usually, a lack of time).  I love reading about what other people are doing!  I guess I am just nosy!

In the late morning, I walked around the garden, a bit, brought in the empty trash cans from the curb, collected the mail, and went through this week's grocery ads.  I also did a little (very little) paperwork.

When daughter took a break for lunch, we went out to pick up some Japanese fast food, with a coupon that came in today's mail - buy one teriyaki beef/rice/vegetable plate for $8 and get one free.  We couldn't finish our portions - daughter saved half of hers for another meal; I ate about 1/3 of mine, had some for dinner, and there's more for another meal!

I also had her pick up some grapes and raspberries from the little market that was there, next to the Japanese restaurant.  The raspberries were $.99 for the container, but the grapes were expensive at $2.99/lb!  We had some of the grapes, after lunch.

It drizzled a little bit in the afternoon, but not enough to do anything.  However, we are supposed to get a good shower of rain on Friday.  If so, then, friend M won't be able to do any gardening!

In the evening, daughter went out to lunch with neighbor S's two daughters, N and C.  N is two years older than my daughter and C is two years younger.  They have been friends since childhood and they try to get together every time daughter comes home.

While she was out, I ran the dishwasher and wiped down the kitchen counters.  Later, I did a load of laundry (and daughter hung it up to dry).

Tuesday's To Do List:
- Put away laundry - DONE
- Do another load of laundry - DONE
- Do the dishes - DONE
- Have daughter bring the trash cans in - DONE (I brought them in)
- Do some paperwork - DID a little bit

(Sorry for the color change - I copied and pasted from yesterday's post, and the back ground color changed!)

Wednesday's To Do List:
- Put away the dried laundry
- Empty the dishwasher
- Do more paperwork
- Do some sewing/mending

One of my friends and her daughter had met with an accident while on the freeway on Sunday night.  Fortunately, neither of them got hurt, but the car was totaled, they said.  I called my friend, in the evening, to check on her.

Later, aunt C called to check on me (and admonished me to not do too much!)

How was your Tuesday?  What are your plans for tomorrow?  Can you believe that tomorrow is already the end of this month?

  1. I can't believe it is the end of the month already. Time flies!
    Listen to Aunt C!

    1. I think the end of February always catches me a bit off-guard because it is a short month.

Anne, I'm trying to listen, but I feel a bit of a fraud because I am not in pain! I feel like I am making a bit fuss over nothing!

  2. Sounds like recovery is going well. And, no, I can't believe that tomorrow is the end of the month. It's a good thing that I didn't set any goals for February, so I don't have to rush around trying to finish them today. :)

    1. The recovery is going very well and it is what I had prayed for, of course, but I am beginning to feel that much fuss has been made over nothing!

You were wise to not have made any goals for February! I was thinking about the goals I had made and I know I didn't get around to doing some of them! Oh, well; they'll all get moved over to March!

Hope you are having a good day and it is still sunny and mild, not rainy.

  3. Please do take it easy my friend. I am so glad your daughter is there with you. :)

    1. Thank you, Debbie, I am, I promise! Yes, it is such a blessing to have her home this week! :)

  4. I'm glad you had a good day and are enjoying having your daughter home! I have to say that I don't think I've ever had a dream about cleaning something though! Was it disappointing to realize it was only a dream?

    1. Thanks, Nathalie. Yes, it was disappointing! I have been wanting to get that garage cleaned for a long time, now! From before my diagnosis, actually!

  5. Well, I guess dreaming of cleaning out the garage was to make up for the hiking you did in a previous dream. What busy people we can be while asleep! I woke up in the night for the bathroom and when I looked out of the window the moon was very bright and there were my favourite tree shadows on the snow.

This morning I expected it to be fine but for a while we had some snow and the flakes were huge! Luckily it was too mild for it to settle, and in the afternoon I went grocery shopping in two different stores and came back with the trunk full because we had been without the car for a couple of days and "the cupboard was bare" (well, at least not as full as I wanted, especially as we were completely out of bread, potatoes and coffee and on our last pouch of milk). When I went to put it all away, I thought of you taking photos and wondered how you had the energy to do so!

    1. If only just dreaming about these things actually made them happen! Wouldn't that be lovely? Those tree shadows on the snow in the moonlight sounds beautiful, Bushlady. Glad you managed to get your grocery shopping done and the cupboards are no longer as bare. Even if you didn't take photos! :)
