Twenty Questions

Anne at New Happenings at the Table and Whatever had posted a list of questions and answers on her blog and invited others to copy and paste the questions and play along.  So, I thought I will!  Why not?

1. What was the last thing you put in your mouth? An amaretti cookie.
2. Where was your profile pic taken? Don't have a profile picture.
3. Worst pain you've ever experienced? A toothache from an infected tooth.
4. Favorite place you've traveled? London.
5. How late did you stay up last night? 3:00 a.m.
6. If you could move somewhere else, where would it be? I've lived in many places and really wouldn't want to move anywhere else, but, I'd move to Berkeley, if daughter decides to settle down there.
8. Which of your Blogger friends lives closest to you?  I don't know; maybe Debbie at The Next Chapter In My Life (http://debbie-thenextchapterinmylife.blogspot.com/) who lives in Washington.
 10. When was the last time you cried? When I got my newest mammogram results confirming it was normal!
11. Who took your profile photo? No profile picture.
12. Who was the last person you took a picture with? A cousin visiting from Australia.
13. What's your favorite season? Summer, even though it is hot, I like the heat and there being light till late in the evening.
14. If you could have any career, what would it be?  A historian.
15. Do you think relationships are ever worth it? Depends on the relationship.
16. If you could talk to ANYONE right now who would it be?  My father, who died when I was 7
17. Are you a good influence? I would like to think so.
18. Does pineapple belong on pizza? Yes!
19. You have the remote, what channel? PBS
20. Whom do you think will play along? Good question!  Don't know if anyone will, but it will be fun to see if someone does.

Thanks, Anne, for the questions.  Is there anyone else who'd play this 20 Questions game?

    1. You're welcome, Anne; yes, it was fun. But made me think, too, on a couple of them. Whether to have pineapple on my pizza wasn't one of them, though! :D

  2. This is fun and I'll play here :) And by the way, you definitely are a good influence, Bless. You've influenced me a lot. I often think "What Would Bless Do?" or "Bless would probably know this!", lol.

    1. What was the last thing you put in your mouth? Coffee
    2. Where was your profile pic taken? Don't have a profile picture either but I have a Bitmoji which was created on that app. So it sort of looks like me.
    3. Worst pain you've ever experienced? Really bad toothache too, Bless! I can't remember if my teeth were infected or not but probably?!
    4. Favorite place you've traveled? Quebec. It's like being in France and North America at the same time!
    5. How late did you stay up last night? 12:30 a.m.
    6. If you could move somewhere else, where would it be? I actually love where I live (Central Florida) but if I could have a 2nd home, it'd be on a beautiful mountain, secluded, but with high speed internet access and an Aldi in town not further than 30 minutes away :) I don't have a particular spot in mind.
    8. Which of your Blogger friends lives closest to you? Pixel Peeper from "Thoughts From My Corner of the Couch" lives an hour away in Lakeland, FL and yes, we have met in real life! She is lovely and fun.
    10. When was the last time you cried? Hmm, I actually cry pretty often. I'm an emotional person! I teared up this past Saturday when the owner of a new store I was visiting with my youngest son explained that her only child, a 13-year-old, had died suddenly of a brain aneurism. I sobbed last week as it was getting time to go to the dentist because I was so anxious about it.
    11. Who took your profile photo? My husband created my Bitmoji for me because the one I created didn't look like me at all, lol. He did a good job, I think.
    12. Who was the last person you took a picture with? Probably my daughter, she's always taking selfies and sometimes I luck out and get to be in them!
    13. What's your favorite season? We seem to only have 2 seasons here but I love that time of year when it's finally cool enough to open the windows. For is it's "Fall", I guess, but for the rest of Northern America it's officially winter.
    14. If you could have any career, what would it be? I don't know but whatever I'd do, I'd like to be my own boss. Otherwise, retired millionaire. I actually love being a housewife though so I don't really have any thoughts of careers :)
    15. Do you think relationships are ever worth it? That's an odd question. I think some relationships are worth it but far less than most people think, IMO. I'm very much an introvert and really only need a few relationships because people drain me. I'm not afraid to cut the ties if a relationship turns out to feel toxic or one-sided.
    16. If you could talk to ANYONE right now who would it be? My maternal grandmother, who has passed. I miss her very much and would like to know more about our family's history.
    17. Are you a good influence? It's hard to say. I like to help people get the information they need and to try to suggest ways to change things when they're broken but I do a lot of things that aren't virtuous at all so it's probably a mixed bag :)
    18. Does pineapple belong on pizza? Absolutely! Yum, yum, yum.
    19. You have the remote, what channel? I always have the remote. I would say that ION TV is my main choice (over the air channel) these days because they run a flavor of Law & Order marathons 4 days a week.
    20. Whom do you think will play along? Probably most of your readers :)

    1. Judy, you will need to "copy and paste" the questions from the blog. Either each question by itself or the whole list and then, delete my answers and type in your answers, instead. To copy and paste, highlight the questions, press Control and C to copy, then, on your blog post, press Control and V to paste what you have copied. Hope that is clear?

  4. Fun to read your twenty questions.

Son has returned safely home. I have been slowly washing the bedding, towels etc. because it is sunny and a nice breeze I even managed to launder two bed pillows. They smell and look very fresh.

Do hope your day is going well.

  6. Yes, I have done 20 questions before, with different questions of course, and for friends of mine. They are a lot of fun. They capture a day in your life. I find the Daybook Mondays that Nathalie, Laura and I do are like that. Sometimes the answers remain the same, but most of the time the answers reflect what is currently happening, like taking a snapshot.

    1. I've always enjoyed reading your daybook Monday posts. I've debated doing them, too, but haven't felt organized enough to do one! Get up early enough to do a blog post before going to work? Can't see myself doing that any time soon! :D

  7. Do you have specific questions you would like to ask you father if you could talk to him again?

    1. I've asked that of myself: what would I talk to him about, if I could? "Tell me about yourself", might be one of them. I really don't remember much about him or feel I knew him as a person, and most of what I do know about him is what others have told me. At one time, I had a diary he had kept, but it was among the items that got left behind when I left Sri Lanka. I do have the letter he wrote to my mother on their 10th wedding anniversary, when he was in hospital, and I know a few things from that. But not much about him as a person.
