I received a phone call from the clinic, first thing Monday morning, in response to the message I left on Friday. I have an appointment to see the doctor, tomorrow afternoon.
Later, I received, in the mail, the missing paperwork authorizing the mammogram that I have already had and additional paperwork authorizing a consultation with the surgeon who did the lumpectomy. I have to call his office to get an appointment. I will call tomorrow or, perhaps I should wait until after I've seen the other doctor and got the mammogram results?
Today, after I posted pictures of my fabric stash, I sewed on one of the quilts that I am making. I also did a load of laundry, brushed Dancer and made him a catnip toy from an old sock (nothing fancy - I just put a little bit of catnip in the toe of the sock and tied it up; he's been playing with it all afternoon and evening!), cleaned out the fridge, took the trash cans to the curb for trash pick up in the morning, and watered the front garden.
Today, I am grateful for:
- Getting an appointment to see the doctor, tomorrow
- Getting the authorization for a consultation with the surgeon
- Another day off from work
- Time to work on my quilt top
- Prayers and well wishes
How was your Monday? Did you have a good day?
Hope all goes well today with your appointment. You've reminded me that I have some catnip to use. I think I'll go make my cats a sock toy or two. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Live and Learn. I'm sure your cats will enjoy a catnip sock!
DeleteBlessings.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Regine. The same to you. :)
DeleteDid you ask for an authorization to see the surgeon who did the lumpectomy? If you got an authorization I think that means you need to see the surgeon, so I would make an appointment for as soon as possible after your upcoming appointment. You need to get this settled.
ReplyDeleteYes, Marylynn, the oncologist wanted me to see the surgeon after the mammogram was done; she put in the request for authorization during my last visit. I suppose the surgeon will want a biopsy done, but I will call and make my appointment.
DeleteSo pleased that you were still able to see the doctor Tuesday afternoon and that they responded promptly to your call.
ReplyDeleteYou may want to call and see how far out they are scheduling appointments for the surgeon - often there is a considerable wait.
Monday was a slow day here. I caught up the laundry but it was so humid and still that I didn't bother will the outside washing lines. I am still working on shredding all those old paper records I came across the other day. Where does it all come from? I am determined to keep going thru stuff so the children don't have that burden. I will again be donating lots to our church rummage sale. I think you hold on to stuff when you don't move.
Yes, I'm happy I can see the doctor today, although I am nervous about what he might have to say. Still, it is better to know, isn't it? I will definitely call the surgeon and proceed from there. His office is in the same building as the doctor I am seeing this afternoon - I could even just go up in person and make the appointment.
DeleteSounds like you had a productive day, even with the heat and humidity. Ha, ha, I think papers multiply when we are not looking! Yes, we do hold on to stuff, don't we? I think it is time for me to to another declutter, again.
Crossing fingers and saying a prayer for a good outcome - waiting is horrible. Love the fabric stash! Good wishes, Christine
ReplyDeleteThank you, Christine.
DeleteThinking of you and praying all is well. 🙏
