Tuesday

Today, I went to my doctor's appointment in the morning.   Traffic was very light as schools are closed for the holidays and a lot of people have taken time off from work.  I got to my appointment in good time and there was no delay in being called in.  The physician assistant went over my blood test results with me.  Everything had come back with a normal reading, so apparently, there's nothing wrong with me!  Good news, indeed!  I have a follow-up appointment with her in three weeks' time, but, in the meantime, I'm cleared to start going back to the office, next week.

Coming back, there was some traffic delay due to the freeway on-ramp being closed for road construction and needing to take a detour.  But I was home by mid-morning, which was nice.  I spent a relaxed rest of the morning and took a nap in the afternoon.  I am going to miss my afternoon naps when I go back to the office!  I also did the dishes, tidied the kitchen, put away the laundry, spoke with my neighbor, a friend, and several family members, including my sister.

Tuesday's To Do List:
- Dr's appointment in the morning - DONE
- Tidy the kitchen - DONE
- Put away the dried laundry - DONE
- Wash dishes - DONE
- Make a few more holiday gifts
- Wrap more gifts
- Mail New Year gifts and cards

Wednesday's To Do List:

How was your day, today?

  2. So glad to hear that your blood work looks good. Can you ease back into your office work and not start full time?

    1. Thank you, Live and Learn. Yes, that's my plan and my supervisor is more than willing to accommodate me. I am thinking I'll go in half days at first and work from home the rest of the time. I think they'll be OK even if I come in a couple of times a week and work from home the rest of the time.

    1. Thank you, Lyssa. Continued prayers will be appreciated. I still have an upcoming appointment with the neurologist, follow-up appointments with the various doctors, a mammogram to take place sometime in February, etc., before I can really take a big sigh of relief! :)

I am a little sad that you are going back to the office next week..Know everyone will be happy to see you.. Just take care of yourself, and remember if you feel it is too much too soon, try to work from home a little longer. smile

    1. Thank you, Judy. Yes, I will take it easy, but after a year of being out of the office, I think it is best to go back, now. At least part time and work from home, part time. In any case, the first week will be a short week, due to the New Year's Day holiday on Monday and having a day off on Tuesday. I will go in on Wednesday and see how things go and take it from there.

    1. Thank you, Suzanne. Yes, it's funny how something that seemed so far in the future becomes here and now, suddenly, doesn't it? I'll take it one day at a time and see how it goes.

  8. I am thrilled to hear that your test results came back normal! What a relief that has to be for you! :) Please do ease yourself back into your work at the office and listen to your body. Rest when you need to. It will take some time to get back up to full speed again. Be blessed!

    1. Thank you, Debbie. Yes, definitely a big relief! And yes, I will take it slow, going back to the office. I spoke with my supervisor, today, and she, too, said to take my time!
