Productive Monday

I spent most of the day working on office work, today, while daughter worked on her research paper.  But we were seated in the same room and we were together while each did her own work.

In the afternoon, I dropped her off at the airport - her flight was delayed a bit, but it wasn't too bad.  I was glad as I don't like it when she has to walk from the subway station to her apartment in the dark.  But she called to say she reached her apartment before 8:00 p.m.

After I came home, I emptied the waste baskets and kitchen trash, etc., and took the trash cans to the curb.  My next door neighbor saw me and asked if I needed any help taking the trash cans to the curb, but I said I was able to manage.  I did appreciate his offer of help, though.

After that, I put water to the front garden, again.  It was in the 80s, here, today, and the roses were starting to droop again.  I will water the roses in the back garden, tomorrow, and deadhead them.

Spending the evening watching Dancing with the Stars, while video chatting with daughter.  We aren't talking all that much though, actually, since she's working on her research paper, as it is due tomorrow!  But I can see her on my computer screen and she can see me, so it is just as if we are sitting in the same room doing our own things.

Today, I am grateful for:

- Daughter had a safe flight back.
- Another day with barely any side effects.
- Lovely weather.
- Offer of help from neighbor.
-Technology which enables us to connect over the miles.

All in all, a very good start to the week.  How was your Monday?

Tomorrow, I have plans to do some house cleaning and laundry, etc.  The dust bunnies are threatening to take over the house!

  1. Thanks for mentioning dead heading the roses, I had completely forgotten that it's one of the tasks you have to do and I do have one rose that needs to be dead headed. My roses like to bloom just one at a time. I think they're doing it on purpose to increase the likelihood that their picture will be featured on my blog *wink*

I'm glad that your daughter made it home OK. Technology is maddening but oh so useful at the same time Today I get to watch my younger brother playing live in a café in Paris (he's a blues guitarist) because he will attempt to livestreaming on his phone for me. I'm so excited! It'll be the first time I get to see him in concert. I hope that the technology works both on his end and on mine.

Have a great day, Bless! Good luck chasing the dust bunnies. Mine are multiplying as well, must be spring or something...

    1. Nathalie, I do hope that the technology works well and you are able to see your brother play! That would be so wonderful.

Your roses are wise to bloom one at a time and be featured on the blog individually. :) Mine tend to bloom all at once in the spring and then, more slowly, a few at a time, the rest of the year.

Hope you have a lovely day.

    1. Oh, those 100 degree days are the worst, aren't they? I don't have central a/c in my house, so I don't look forward to them! Even telling myself that it is a dry heat doesn't do much good! LOL. Enjoy the flowers when they do start blooming. Hope you, too, have a blessed day, Judy.
