Latest Update: Appointments Galore!

Called the various doctors' offices, this morning, and made my appointments for the upcoming weeks.

Surgeon's appointment is scheduled for November 3 to have the sutures taken out.  He'll also be able to see how the infected/inflamed incision is doing (hopefully, all will be found to be well).

Primary care doctor's appointment is scheduled for November 12 for follow-up/check infected lumpectomy incision, and she also wanted to check my A1c glucose levels, on that visit.

The oncologist's appointment for the 1st chemo therapy session is now scheduled for November 13 (postponed 2 weeks from October 30, due to being on antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications.)

And somewhere in between all those doctor's appointments, (on November 11, to be exact), I shall be celebrating my 60th birthday, with all my hair intact!  :D

Today, I am grateful for:
- Access to medical care

    1. Happy belated birthday, Judy. I'm feeling OK. Not in any pain, other than mild discomfort, so I feel just fine, thank you. Just taking it easy so I can heal.

  2. Happy Early Birthday, Bless! I hope you do something special on your birthday- you deserve a nice, relaxing day!

It sounds like you are going to be a busy lady in the coming weeks, but the way I see it, each of those appointments bring you one step closer to gaining your full health back- a reason to smile in the midst of the sighs.

I know you are not looking forward to these upcoming appointments, but know that you have a whole bunch of us cheerleaders waving their pom-poms for you screaming "Go Bless! You Can Do This! Whoo-Hoo!" ;)

Glad you are feeling okay. Hugs and Prayers from me to you and Little Miss Bless! :)

    1. Thank you, Dawn. Too bad I can't actually take my cheerleaders with me, when I go for chemo! That would be something, wouldn't it? :D But you'll all be there in my mind, and I'll smile during the chemo because I'll be hearing the cheers in my imagination. :)

  3. Happy early Birthday! November sounds like a busy month for you, but like Dawn says, it is all a step to the top of the mountain to be well again.

And definitely plan something nice for your birthday! Indulge yourself. You deserve it.
