I wish all my blog friends a very happy Thanksgiving! Even if it not an official day of celebration in your country or your Thanksgiving was observed in October, it is good to have a day set aside to give thanks for all our blessings.
My daughter and I will celebrate this Thanksgiving day with my friend A, her husband, and their daughters as we have done so often in the past, but, in a different setting, under less than ideal circumstances. We will, nevertheless, give thanks for being able to celebrate one more Thanksgiving together.
I hope you have a truly happy time with your daughter and friends. Even if these difficult days, we all have much to be grateful for _ I'm grateful for your friendship and encouragement ❤️ReplyDelete
Thank you, Angela. We had a good Thanksgiving with much to be thankful for. One of which was your friendship and the prayers you've shared with me. I read those prayers at my friend's bedside, yesterday and today, too. :)Delete
Thanks Bless. It's far from ideal circumstances and not what any of you want, but I'm glad you and your daughter have the opportunity to celebrate this Thanksgiving Day with your friends. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you xxReplyDelete
Thank you, Eileen. Yes, not the Thanksgiving we would have wanted, but, we did the best to celebrate it and being together. :)Delete

Thank you for your Thanksgiving wishes.ReplyDelete
I was thinking about you and your daughter yesterday spending Thanksgiving with your friend and her family as you did so many years before. Not the same, no, but still friendship and caring is what the day is about. I'm hoping you all found what was needed at this time.
Thank you, Debra. It was good to be together during this difficult time, to be able to support the family and just be there for them.Delete
Not ideal circumstances at all, but no doubt it is a reminder to give thanks for the years of friendship you share. That we can once again visit people under these circumstances, given that so recently it was not possible, is also really special. I'm sure your caring presence is greatly appreciated. Happy Thanksgiving!ReplyDelete
Thank you, Lady Ella. Yes, lots to be thankful for, this year. :)Delete

I'm sure this Thanksgiving will stand out for you in future as a very special memory of love and thanksgiving for friendship and family.ReplyDelete
Yesterday I managed to put together a Christmas door swag which didn't turn out too bad, and today I collected more greenery from some evergreen branches from a couple of trees that DH had cut down a few weeks ago and hadn't moved yet, due to not doing anything strenuous. I put together a simple arrangement in the 2 chimney liners that usually support flower pots either side of the steps. I don't know if I overdid it but I was very happy!! Spent most of the afternoon with my feet up.
Thank you, Bushlady; it was a very special Thanksgiving. :)Delete
Sounds like you are making preparations for Christmas! I'm sure your Christmas greenery arrangements and the swag looks lovely! Glad you rested with your feet up in the afternoon. :)
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your daughter. So glad you were able to spend the day with her and friend A and her family xReplyDelete
