Relaxed Wednesday

On Wednesday, I took it easy and relaxed.  I guess all that shopping on Tuesday wore me out!  I spent most of the morning and part of the afternoon writing my Tuesday blog post, reading and commenting on other blogs, checking emails, etc.  I watched news coverage of hurricane Michael, as well, and sent emails to my cousin and a couple of my blog friends who I know live in Florida.  I hope they are safe and the hurricane didn't damage their homes.

Later, I changed the sheets on my bed and did a load of laundry.  Then, I did the dishes.  I also flea combed Dancer just to check, since I hadn't combed him for a couple of weeks; I was happy that he didn't seem to have any fleas on him!  I  think we are over that particular episode!  I will, however, continue to give him his monthly treatments, just to be on the safe side.  I also cleaned his litter box before I went to bed and then, I read in bed for some time.  The new reading glasses are wonderful!

Aunt T called in the evening and we had a nice conversation.  I really need to make an effort to go and see her.

Later in the evening, I video chatted with daughter.

I didn't do any sewing because I couldn't settle down to it.  But that's OK.  I can sew another day.

On Wednesday, I was grateful for:
- Being able to relax and take it easy
- A bright, sunny day (if on the cool side)
- Dancer seems to be free of fleas!
- New reading glasses
- Being able to keep in touch with family and friends

Wednesday's To Do List:
- Do Tuesday's blog post - DONE!
- Email cousin in Florida - DONE
- Do the dishes - DONE
- Load of laundry - DONE
- Sew another set of pillowcases
- Walk for 30 minutes - DONE

Thursday's To Do List:
- Go to the office to fill out the last time sheet and hand in parking permit, etc.
- Put away the dried laundry
- Sew another set of pillowcases
- Daily walk
- Put gas to the car

How was your Wednesday?  What have you planned for Thursday?

  1. I do hope your friends and relatives are safe and sound. There seems to be some extremes of weather at the moment.
I did notice a couple of tiny fleas on Mog a few weeks ago, but thankfully her usual treatment (which had been overdue) soon sorted it. X

    1. Thanks, Jules. I haven't heard from my cousin, yet, but hopefully, he and his wife are safe.

Glad to hear that Mog's usual treatment took care of any fleas. I will be giving Dancer his next dose in a couple of weeks. It's important to keep up with the treatments, isn't it?

  2. That is great that you didn't find any fleas on Dancer. I'm sure he is glad, too!

This morning I had a "line-up" begging for peanuts in front of the door - a squirrel, with a blue jay not far behind him. That one is getting quite bold. I bought another two bags of peanuts in the shell today. The hanging feeders are starting to look as if they are all pecked out. I'm just hoping that the new people who moved in down the road are bird lovers and that they will start feeding them too. My sunflower seed feeders are emptied every day. I feel like I'm feeding the whole province!

    1. Oh, Bushlady, that is so cute that they were waiting for their breakfasts! Just like my garden strays! Twice a day (and anytime I open the back door, it seems!) Ha, ha, the birds (and squirrels) must be spreading the news - guaranteed feast at Bushlady's!

  3. Thank you for your message Bless. My area got rain and wind from the outer bands of Michael, but it was not bad at all.
We are supposed to have cooler weather (finally!) this weekend.

I'm glad to hear that you got rid of fleas. Yay!!! Be careful though if you still have stray cats around. :)

    1. Nil, I got your reply to my email. I am so glad you are safe and didn't get too badly impacted.

Yes, the strays are all there, so I am being careful. Dancer will continue to receive his monthly flea treatments, whether he likes it or not!
