Daughter's Fall Decorations

My daughter spent some time, this weekend, making Fall decorations for her apartment, using stuff she had on hand:

Daughter's Fall Decorations
She had seen a styrofoam pumpkin painted as Harry Potter on-line and wanted to do something similar.  But she couldn't find a styrofoam pumpkin in the shops she went to.  Instead, she printed a pumpkin template she found on-line, cut the shapes using a cardboard box she had and made her versions.  She said she didn't have any brown paint, so she mixed colors she had until she got the shade she wanted.  I think she did a good job, don't you?

  1. They're so cute! I'm going to send that photo to my own daughter, who is artistic and a Harry Potter devotee. I'll bet she'll want to make her own :)

Your daughter is, among other things, a talented crafter!

  6. How resourceful! Great use of materials she already possessed and didn't feel the need to buy more of what she didn't have. (ahem) Someone like myself should take this suggestion to heart. Love the Harry Potter characters (I can even tell who's who)
