The roses are blooming! I spent some time in the garden in the morning, taking pictures of the roses and other flowers.
It was another warm day, which was lovely. Cooler weather is in the forecast for next week, though.

On Thursday, I did some paperwork and paid a couple of bills that were coming due. Then, I put away some of the stock up items I had bought. I took the opportunity to update my pantry inventory, at the same time.

On Thursday, I was grateful for:
- Another warm day
- Garden flowers
- Having a garden
- A well stocked pantry
- Emails from friends

Thursday's joyful activity was spending time in the garden.
Plans for Friday include some housework and tending to the garden with M.
How was your Thursday? What are your plans for Friday?
Your roses are perfection!
ReplyDeleteThank you, June. I am loving the roses.
DeleteGood afternoon, Bless! I've spent all week enjoying the good weather, so today I intend to clean and tidy the house. But first, I'm just going to have a cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteThe orange blossom is so pretty. Xx
Hi, Jules. I'm glad you had a week of good weather and you were able to enjoy it. I've just had a cup of tea, myself (3:05 p.m. as I write this). I hope you are feeling better (you had mentioned feeling under the weather, in an earlier comment) and only do the cleaning and tidying you feel up to.
DeleteLovely flowers! I had a surprise yesterday as there is a patch at the corner of the house where the sun catches the ground and the snow is gone and - tadaa- there are tulips starting to come up!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bushlady.
DeleteOoh, tulips! How lovely! I grew tulips once, but, I didn't dig up and chill the bulbs, so, they didn't regrow the next year. Same with the daffodils.
Your flowers are gorgeous! The day lilies in my garden have just recently broken through the ground, with tiny green sprouts. Nothing else is showing up yet, but hopefully soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Celie. Yay, daylilies! M brought me some daylily bulbs, but, so far, they haven't flowered, yet.
DeleteWe have had some some very summery weather, but next week is set to be cooler here too, with some rain. I did a lot of gardening yesterday, so I won't mind the rain. It will do some good. There is still a lot of weeding to do, which I hope will be easier if the ground it moist, and I want to transplant a few things too. (I just don't want it to rain on Easter Monday as I have a market then, and people are unlikely to come out if the weather is poor.) I like your rose.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you've had some summery weather to offset the cooler weather and rain that's in the forecast. Sounds like you've been busy in the garden. I do hope that it won't rain on Easter Monday and I hope that the market will be well attended. Today (Sunday) is 73F/23C, over here, but, by Wednesday, our high is expected to be 62F/17C. No rain in our forecast, though. Thank you; all the roses are blooming, right now.
