Lonesome, Lovely, Loving Kitty (Who is missing daughter) |
Thank you, Eileen, for this fun challenge! Looking forward to February's challenge!
Great shots! I love lantana, it’s so beautiful! And I’m also partial to that sweet kitty! 😍
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mandy; the lantana is especially colorful this year with all the rain we've been having! As for the kitty, he keeps going to my daughter's room and meowing! I think he's looking for her!
DeleteGreat photographs! You lantanas are gorgeous! Such incredible colors. Poor Dancer missing his buddy. I'm sure you must be missing her as well. I hope she can visit again soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Celie; the lantana is doing really well with all the rain we've had! Yes, Dancer is missing my daughter - he keeps going into her room and meowing! I'm missing her, too, and look forward to her next visit, whenever that might be. :)
DeleteGood use of the letter! I love the oil lamp!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Anne. The lamp needs to be polished, but, it's something I will always keep. :)
DeleteLovely selection of photos. I love your lamp and your lantana bush is gorgeous. Love your photo of Dancer but so sad he is missing your daughter :(
ReplyDeleteThank you, Eileen. Yes, poor Dancer has been going into my daughter's room and meowing. He's taking a nap on her bed, right now.
DeletePhew, I almost thought Dancer wasn't going to get his deserved place in this month's chanllege. I like your brass rooster oil lamp.
ReplyDeleteGetting Dancer in the picture is my challenge within the challenge. I've got to figure out how to fit him into a square for February's challenge!
DeleteThank you, the rooster on top of the brass lamp is the Sri Lankan Junglefowl (Gallus lafayetii), which is endemic to Sri Lanka and is the national bird. Almost all the brass oil lamps I've seen seem to be topped by a rooster!
Look at the Lovely Lemon! I'm always fascinated by pictures of your citrus since none grow around here.
ReplyDeleteThank you, June. I picked one of the lovely lemons, this morning, to use in a dish I was preparing for brunch! :)
DeleteWhat lovely photos, and of course Dancer was happy (although he looks pensive) to oblige with a photo. He must really miss your daughter.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bushlady. Dancer is really missing my daughter; he goes into her room and meows for her. He has been sleeping on her bed, these last couple of days.
DeleteThese are brilliant Bless. I love both photos of the lemons, they have to be my favourites, and I'm glad to see Dancer making an appearance again. I hope he's not pining too much for your daughter. Thanks for joining in this month. xx
ReplyDeleteThank you, Eileen; glad you enjoyed the lemon-y photos. :) Dancer is missing my daughter. He goes into her room and meows. Right now, he's napping on her bed.
DeleteThank you for hosting these monthly challenges. I had fun participating; February's theme will be harder, I think!
I also like the lemons best! And the lantana, and the brass lamp! I need to see the love cake when cut, as am sure I still haven't got the consistency right on mine. Glad you remembered your lattice, as I think you forgot it in the "noughts and crosses" challenge... :o)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lady Ella. I'm sorry, but, I don't think I took any photos of the cut love cake. Most of the cake was packeted up and given away and daughter took the rest of it up with her.
DeleteYes, I forgot to take a photo of the lattice for "noughts and crosses"! I almost forgot it this time, too, as I tend to refer to it as a trellis and not a lattice! :D
Fun! What a good prompt and, as usual, you had some nice photos.
ReplyDeleteI laughed with the Lines - I don't know that I would've thought of that when looking at the antenna.
Poor Lonesome, Lovely, Loving Dancer.
Thank you, Debra. That antenna no longer serves a purpose, but, it's up there and I've used it in at least two photo challenges (one for communication and now for lines). Dancer is getting well and truly spoilt because I'm feeling sorry for him! This morning, he tried to wake me up, demanding breakfast. I told him to eat his kibbles, which I leave out for him to eat anytime he wants. So, he ate some and then, came to the bedroom, stood right next to the bed, and threw up all the kibble he ate! He didn't want kibble; he wanted his wet food! Arrgh!
DeleteLovely snapshots. Well, if I wasn't reading this on Valentine's Day I might not have noticed that racy red and violet lace. LOL!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Susanne. I didn't think anything about the colors of the lace when I took the photo! :D
