January Balanced Life Goals

A lot of my goals for a more balanced life remain the same as last year's:

Spiritual:  The goal is to live a spiritually meaningful life.
- Continue with daily prayers and gratitude
- Attend the January monthly prayer gathering, if possible
- Continue to focus on joy, gratitude, abundance, and blessings

Environment:  The goal is a clean, tidy, uncluttered house and a well-maintained garden.
- Focus on cleaning and tidying, one room at a time
- Take down and put away holiday decorations
- Declutter as I go
- Continue to spruce up the garden - prune and transplant roses; plant succulents where the roses were.

Daughter:  The goal is to continue to have a close relationship with her.
- Stay in touch by phone and computer

Family:  The goal is to keep in touch with various family members.
- Call and wish cousin and aunt on their birthdays
- I'll see some of the family members at the January prayer gathering
- Respond to holiday/New Year greetings sent by family
- Exchange holiday gifts with family members I didn't see in December

Friends:  The goal is to keep in touch with friends.
- I'll be seeing some of them at the monthly prayer gathering

Career:  The goal is to continue to do work which I enjoy (for the most part) and which enables me to support myself.
- Continue to work from home for a bit longer
- Prepare to return to the office, eventually

Finances:  The goal is financial security.
- Continue budgeting and spending mindfully

Health:  The goal is good health.
- Attend the appointments with my various doctors - 2 scheduled, so far, in January.
- Continue to monitor blood pressure and sugar levels as requested by primary care
- Continue to focus on a healthier diet, drinking enough water, exercising regularly, and getting sufficient sleep

Time Management:  The goal is having enough time to do all what I want to do!
-  Organize myself and put routines into place so I have enough time for work and for play!

Leisure/Crafts/Hobbies/Me-Time:  The goal is to relax doing something I enjoy doing for the pleasure of it.
- Listen to more music
- Read a book (or more)

Looking over this month's goals, I realize there aren't a lot of specifics.  But a lot of what I'll be doing will depend on a number of issues, with my health being the main one.  So I am going to keep the list rather low key and hope to expand it as I go along.

Have you made any goals for this month?

    1. Thank you, Judy. Health is one of the most important factors, isn't it? Hope, you, too, have good health in the new year, free from asthma attacks, etc.

    1. (((HUGS))) Susan. Life does keep happening, doesn't it? Maybe that should be our goal? To meet life as it happens, with grace and pleasure?

  3. I have goals but I keep on getting sidetracked by other things. But so far, I have checked my monthly goals every morning as I make my to-do list for the day so at least they're front of mind. It'd be nice to make a big dent in them!

Good luck with yours! It's great that you get to work from home a little longer.

    1. Well done on checking your goals every day. I, too, incorporate little things like calling a friend or a cousin, and chatting with my daughter, of course, into my daily activities, although I don't always list them in my to do lists. But maybe I should?

    2. Nah. You do that ALL THE TIME already so I don't think it's something you'd let fall by the wayside. Me, on the other hand... I'm not as family oriented as you are. So I DO need to put it on my To Do List.
