Sunday Lunch |
After lunch, I watched a program on TV on the National Geographic channel and then, took a nap!
Two of my aunts and a cousin called in the evening and later, I put water to the front garden. I spent the rest of the evening video chatting with my daughter who was feeling a bit homesick after spending a little over a week at home. Now that my treatments are coming to an end, she won't be coming home quite as often as she has been, but she'll visit again in October, and for Thanksgiving and probably over Christmas. So, it's not too bad.
Sunday's To Do List:
- Take daughter to the airport - DONE
- Clear table in family room - STARTED
- Paperwork/Filing - DID SOME
- Water the front garden - DONE
Monday's To Do List:
- Go for last radiation session!
- Clear the family room table
- Paperwork/Filing
- Clean out fridge
- Empty waste baskets
- Take trash cans to the curb
Today, I am grateful for:
- Spending a relaxed morning with daughter on her last day home
- Daughter had a safe trip back to her apartment
- Afternoon naps
- Phone calls from aunts and cousin
- Just one last radiation treatment left!
This was Dancer, last night, waiting for daughter to come home:
He Loves his Towel |
When I first tasted Indian sweets they blew my mind. I bet Sri Lankan sweets are even more awesome! x
ReplyDeleteI love Indian sweets, too. Some of them are common to both countries, others are different. I'm rather partial to the Sri Lankan sweets because they are a taste of my childhood. Also, some of them tend to be rather labor-intensive to make and I don't always have the proper ingredients.
DeleteDancer is such a cutie, Bless! He's a big boy and looks really comfy. Bet he's missing your daughter, too. So sweet!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carolyn. Yes, he's a big boy! 16 lbs. at the last weigh-in and that was last year!
DeleteHow cute! Our Baby (orange tabby) is teeny and weighs 8#. She's 14 yrs old this year. Hubby teases that we needed to trade her in for a "real" cat. LOL.
DeleteOh, wow! 8 lbs. is tiny!
DeleteI'm so glad you were able to spend all that time with your daughter and that your last radiation is now done! Yay!!!! Dancer looks nice and comfy there on that towel. My husband tells me that our Rufus waits for me to come home too. :)
ReplyDeleteMy weekend was actually really nice. We got a lot done around the house and hit some yard sales on Saturday. We found some great deals and even got some free stuff at those sales and at the grocery store. Sunday we were invited over for dinner at one of our son's home and enjoyed time with them and our grandchildren. :)
Thank you, Debbie. Sounds like you had a lovely weekend. I am so glad.
DeletePraise the Lord that you have reached the end of the treatment x love and prayers x
ReplyDeleteYes, definitely! I have been reading the Bible verses you sent me, Angela, and holding on to the promise contained in them.
DeleteProud you had a good week visit with your daughter..[It is so hard when we have to live away from our children..miss mine too]
ReplyDeleteSO PROUD that you have climbed that mountain.. hugs.
Thank you, Judy. Thank you for all your prayers which helped me with the climb.
