New Year Resolutions

Is there any other New Year's tradition that is as established as making resolutions?

Last year, I made New Year's Goals.  They included attaining better health and then, of course, I was diagnosed with cancer!  Less procrastination was another, but, unfortunately, I've procrastinated quite often.  The one goal I did manage to keep was managing my finances in a manner that allowed me to remain debt-free, even while putting daughter through university.

This year's resolutions will be more of the same.

Resolution 1:  Attain good health - go through the cancer treatments with the goal of being cancer free, monitor my weight, activity levels, diet, etc.

Resolution 2:  Procrastinate less - get into the habit of taking care of things right away

Resolution 3:  Be more organized - this continues to be a long time goal and it includes decluttering and having a place for everything and everything being in its place.

Resolution 4:  Be thankful - focus on gratitude and abundance, appreciate the blessings.

Resolution 5:  Be more balanced - strive to achieve a well-balanced life.

These are my New Year's Resolutions for 2016.  I plan to incorporate them into my Balance Wheel to make sure they are worked on throughout the year.

Do you make resolutions or goals for the new year?  What are your resolutions for 2016?

    1. Hi Saffron, I guess most New Year resolutions and goals have a lot in common - we are all trying to make improvements in our lives, aren't we? Thank you for commenting.

    1. Judy, I hope you will feel better, soon. And I hope you achieve your goals for this year. I think it's important to have goals, because they give us something to strive for.
