Well, I obviously went off the meal plan because I chose to cook the pork chops instead of the ground turkey, but, it worked out quite well, even with the spur of the moment trip to a fast food hamburger place.
Moving on to September Week 2:
Brunches: Curried pork fried rice (Monday); French toast; tortillas with scrambled eggs and lunu miris; leftovers from dinners
Dinners: Rice and curries - curried pork, sauteed okra, sauteed moringa leaves, spicy sauteed potatoes (Monday); smoked sausage, potato wedges, corn on the cob, and salad (Tuesday); sauteed salmon (from the freezer) with rice and green beans; leftovers; or something else!
Snacks/Desserts: Options include fresh fruit, homemade chocolate cookies (daughter baked), apple juice popsicles, and ice cream.

That is the plan. We will see if we stay on plan or go off the plan.
As always, I am grateful for having plenty of food to eat and a nice variety in our meals. It is truly a blessing.
Are you making a meal plan this week?

I thought my garden green beans had finished, but when we returned from Manchester I found more ready to pick. I love fresh veg !your meal plans look good
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to come home to find more green beans growing in your garden! I was unable to grow any green beans, this year. Will try again, next year.
DeletePer usual, I don't have a plan except to make a hamburger casserole with my son today. :)
ReplyDeleteThat hamburger casserole sounds good. I love the fact that you and your son cook together on a regular basis.
DeleteLovely fresh produce!
ReplyDeleteI've got to get back into the swing of doing meal plans again now that I'm back. I did not miss cooking!
Thank you, Sharon. I'm sure you'll get back into the swing of things in a few days. I'm glad you had a break from the cooking. :)
DeleteFortunately I had already eaten supper before reading your blog and seeing the photos, or I might have found myself trying to lick the laptop screen!
ReplyDeleteI've had a lot of meals for one, except during family visits, but DH will be back tonight, so I will be cooking for two again. Yikes, I'd better come up with a plan for tomorrow! : )
Thank you, Bushlady. :) I'm sure your DH will be looking forward to being back home and sharing meals with you.
DeleteThat's a great variety of meals, Bless. I'll be meal planning myself, later. Then it's off to the supermarket for the weekly shop. Xx
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jules. Hope your meal planning and shopping goes well. Do you ever shop first and then, meal plan based on what you bought? Some people call it reverse meal planning, but, that's what I usually do.
DeleteWhat a pretty collection of your garden produce. And lots of pleasing looking food as well.
ReplyDeleteNice variety too.
Thank you. The garden has been producing fairly well, this year. :)
