This was my meal plan for September Week 1:
Brunches: Milkrice (September 1st) with seeni sambol, jaggery (me) or sugar (daughter, who doesn't like jaggery); Egg salad or tuna salad sandwiches; French toast; salads; Scrambled eggs and toast (if we don't have egg salad); leftovers from dinners
Dinners: Spaghetti with ground turkey and pasta sauce (or leftover onion gravy); Rice and chicken curry with dhal and cucumber salad; Rice and keema curry made with ground turkey; pork chops* and rice with vegetables; leftovers; or something else!
Snacks/Desserts: Options include fresh fruit, crackers, chips, cheetos, smoothies
Here's how it worked out:
Monday:
Brunch: Milkrice, seeni sambol, jaggery
Dinner: Hamburgers, chicken nuggets, fries from a fast food drive through!
Snacks/Dessert: Asian pears, raspberries (daughter), a shared hot fudge sundae
Snacks/Dessert: Asian pears, raspberries (daughter), a shared hot fudge sundae
Tuesday:
Brunch: Bread and seeni sambol (me); leftover chicken nuggets (daughter)
Dinner: Milkrice, seeni sambol, and chicken curry (me); rice, chicken curry, dhal, and tomato chutney (daughter)
Snacks/Dessert: Pears; Asian pears; chocolate wafers; chips
Snacks/Dessert: Pears; Asian pears; chocolate wafers; chips
Wednesday:
Brunch: Scrambled eggs and toast
Dinner: Pork chops with onion & mushroom gravy (had a can of mushroom stems and pieces in the pantry that needed to be used up), green beans, microwave baked potatoes

Snacks/Dessert: Plums, apple juice popsicles, bread pudding baked in the microwave
Thursday:
Brunch: Boiled mung beans, lunu miris and/or sugar
Dinner: Pork chops, gravy, and green beans, with rice (daughter) or leftover baked potato half (me)
Snacks/Dessert: Fruit, apple juice popsicles
Snacks/Dessert: Fruit, apple juice popsicles
Friday:
Brunch: Boiled mung beans, lunu miris and/or sugar
Dinner: Rice, curried pork chops, dhal (lentils), spicy sauteed potatoes (ala thel dala), cucumber salad, tomato chutney
Saturday:
Brunch: Cashew curry (eaten by itself)
Dinner: Rice, pork curry, spicy sauteed potatoes, moringa curry, cucumber salad, tomato chutney
Sunday:
Brunch: Tortillas and chicken curry
Dinner: Scrambled eggs with toast (daugher) or baked potato (me)
Snacks/Dessert: ice cream bars
Snacks/Dessert: ice cream bars
Well, I obviously went off the meal plan because I chose to cook the pork chops instead of the ground turkey, but, it worked out quite well, even with the spur of the moment trip to a fast food hamburger place.
Moving on to September Week 2:
Brunches: Curried pork fried rice (Monday); French toast; tortillas with scrambled eggs and lunu miris; leftovers from dinners
Dinners: Rice and curries - curried pork, sauteed okra, sauteed moringa leaves, spicy sauteed potatoes (Monday); smoked sausage, potato wedges, corn on the cob, and salad (Tuesday); sauteed salmon (from the freezer) with rice and green beans; leftovers; or something else!
Snacks/Desserts: Options include fresh fruit, homemade chocolate cookies (daughter baked), apple juice popsicles, and ice cream.

That is the plan. We will see if we stay on plan or go off the plan.
As always, I am grateful for having plenty of food to eat and a nice variety in our meals. It is truly a blessing.
