The theme for the November Monthly Photo Challenge, hosted by Eileen at A Bracelet of Days, is "Starts with F" and these are my selections:
Feijoa (Pineapple Guava)
Fiery Flames of Frustration (Thanks Lady Ella for the title!)
Furry Feline Furniture Assembly Supervisor
Fabric From The Stash
I told my daughter we should have taken a photo of me after I fell in the garden, but, we weren't thinking of the monthly photo challenge at the time! Ah, a missed opportunity!
Thank you, Eileen, for hosting the monthly photo challenge.
Not just fabric, but festive fabric. :)ReplyDelete
Ooh, yes! I didn't think of that! :DDelete
That made me smile photographing a fall, a definite no no, you are not to think of doing that again. Your flowers are lovely and the fire-breathing dragon, that was spectacular.ReplyDelete
I only thought of it afterwards and I didn't think trying recreate the fall for a photo was a good idea! LOL. Thank you, the furnace photo is something else, isn't it? I told my daughter that one day, if I was still around when she had children, I will tell them stories about when we heated our home with a fire breathing dragon that we kept in a metal cage! :DDelete
Well done with your F's for the month. I agree, no more falls, let's hope you continue to miss that photo opportunity. Your feline supervisor is so pretty.ReplyDelete
Thank you, Mary-Lou. Yes, let's hope there are no more falls! The feline supervisor looks so serious, doesn't he? It's as if he's wondering, "Now, how does this fit in there?" :DDelete
Another great selection and many thanks for joining in. Dancer obviously takes the top place with the fire breathing dragon a close second.ReplyDelete
I don't encourage you to fall deliberately just to get a photo but seeing as the fall was an accident and you were already on the ground I am a little disappointed that you missed the opportunity 😂😂
Thank you, Eileen; I'm sorry to have disappointed you by missing the fall opportunity! I had my cell phone with me, too! :DDelete
I completely missed this post! My faves are the cosmos, the lemons and the material. You always do so well with these challenges!ReplyDelete
Thank you, Lady Ella. I love the fact that you said, "material"! That's what we called it in Sri Lankan English! Over here, "fabric" seems to be the word of choice! :)Delete
We use the two interchangeably. I nearly wrote "fabric" but hen I realised the other two things I'd listed were not "F" words, so it amused me to put "material". (Perverse sense of humour!)ReplyDelete
A family friend in India pronounces it "mah-trill" but I don't know if it is just her, or all Indians!!
Incidentally, what kind of accent do you have now?
I think I have a combination of Sri Lankan/American accent; I still pronounce certain words like "can't" how I was taught in Sri Lanka (British English), but, have switched to pronouncing some words like "schedule" and "lieutenant" the American English way. I remember using the word "shan't" in a memo at work a long time ago and the whole office teased me about it (in a good way); they were very amused!Delete
A good selection of photos. We don't call our furnace a dragon, even though it does have flames (inside, thank goodness). We tend to think of ours as the monster in the basement which has to be fed constantly.ReplyDelete
Thank you, Bushlady. Too funny about your furnace being the monster needing constant feeding! :)Delete
Thank you, Sharon. December's challenge is "Christmas"; maybe you might like to participate?Delete
Fun pictures this month. Your flowers are very pretty and had me thinking the prompt must be "all in pink" before I settled down and read the post lolReplyDelete
You have a nice assortment of holiday fabrics helping you fight off the allure of buying more.
p.s. I apoligize if this comment came through multiple times. I hit publish twice but it never accepted it so I closed out and reentered my comment.
Thank you, Debra. Yes, I have plenty of holiday fabrics to keep me happy for at least another couple of years, I think!Delete
Dancer says Hi to you!
Don't worry; this is the only comment that came through. :) Yesterday, I found a comment from you on the "Still Relaxing on Friday" post in my spam folder and published it! I don't know how it ended up in the spam folder, though! Sorry about that!
