Winter Photo Scavenger Hunt: January Photos

I wasn't able to take a lot of pictures for the Scavenger hunt, this month, but, took a few.  These are my selections for the January link up:

2.  Round and round - the electricity meter: - the flat disk that can be seen just above the words "Sangamo Electric" slowly spins as the current is used and that causes the arrows in the five circles above to go round, showing the amount of electricity being used.

#2: Round and Round

6. Horizontal:  Dancer was happy to demonstrate being horizontal!

# 6: Dancer - Horizontal

10.  Work in progress:  My current crochet project - all the granny squares I made with scrap yarn are having a grey border crocheted around them before being joined in rows of 10 for a blanket.

#10: Work in Progress

My December photos are here.

Thank you, Eileen, for organizing this!

    1. Thank you, Nil. The other option I had for 'round and round' was my round crocheted rag rug, but, I decided to go with the electricity meter.

Yes, Dancer is a very helpful kitty and one of my favorite models! :)

  5. Dancer is such an accommodating fellow. Meow!

Haha - good picture for round and round.

Your crochet blanket is going to be so pretty. Gray is a good choice to set off the colors. Are you joining as you go? It looks like it.

    1. Yes, Dancer is very accommodating, isn't he? :D Thank you; my round and round picture seems to be a winner! I'm joining the squares in rows of 10 for now. It looks like I might run short of the grey yarn, and if that happens, I will use another color and mix the rows so that half the blanket won't be grey and the other half some other color!

  7. That first photo is brilliant, and shots of Dancer always bring a smile. Good for you on using up the scraps on granny squares. I bet the surprise of seeing how they all come together is very pleasing. I know that's the feeling I get when scraps of paper come together on a scrapbook page.

    1. Thank you, Susanne. I do love to use scraps to see how they turn out when put together. One reason why I love making scrap quilts. :)
