Another Rose |
On Thursday, we had a lovely warm day with the afternoon high going up to 84F. I loved it! According to the forecast, we will have another couple of warm days and then, the temperatures will go down to the 60s by next week.
I completed a few more tasks on my To Do list on Thursday, including cleaning the bathroom, doing a small load of laundry, and making some yogurt.
I also spoke with neighbor E about painting the living room and dining area. He was ready to start on Friday, but, I needed more time to empty out the shelves so they can be moved, etc., and next week will be busy. So, we might start on the painting the following week. I'm looking forward to getting that job crossed off my list.
Brunch was a banana and a peanut butter sandwich. Dinner was rice and curries. Snacks included a freshly picked orange and apple slices.
On Thursday, I was grateful for:
- A lovely, sunny, warm day!
- Neighbor E's help
- Fresh oranges from the garden
- Garden flowers
- What I was able to accomplish
Thursday's joyful activity was spending time in the garden.
Plans for Friday include:
- Paperwork/filing
- Vacuuming my bedroom
- Gardening with M
- Cleaning the kitchen
How was your Thursday? What are your plans for Friday?
Moving things getting ready for painting may be the spur you want to declutter more. Moving things usually does that for me. Fresh oranges sound so good.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts, exactly, June. In fact, I told one of my friends that it would help with the decluttering as I decide what to put back on the shelves and the walls. :)
DeleteAnother lovely rose photo! That one reminds me of a garden bed full of dark red roses that I visited as a child.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bushlady. I was very tempted to cut this one and place it in a vase, inside. I might do so, still.
DeleteI made yogurt on Monday - so satisfying to make it myself, and it saves money. I love it with fresh fruit added.
ReplyDeleteHomemade yogurt is good, isn't it? I like to stir in some jam because I prefer it sweetened. :)
DeleteSuch a beautiful rose, Gardening certainly brings it's rewards
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ratnamurti. Haven't heard from you in a long time. Hope you are keeping well.
DeleteI need a list of jobs otherwise I hop from one to another and nothing gets finished so well done getting yours done.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Chris; lists keep us focused, don't they?
DeleteYour rose is incredibly beautful.
ReplyDeleteIt will be great to get those jobs crossed off your list. I could really do with decoratng my living and dining rooms this year, but it probably won't happen :) Xx
It's a gorgeous rose, isn't it?
DeleteI'm looking forward to getting those jobs crossed off my list. Oh, I hope you can get your living and dining rooms decorated, this year. Will you do it yourself or get someone to do it for you?
Great news about the upcoming painting of the living room and dining room. It will look so fresh and clean - you will be smiling every time you walk into the rooms and gaze around at your home.
ReplyDeleteVery nice velvety looking red rose.
Thank you, Debra. I'll be very happy when I can get the place painted. But, then, of course, I would want to replace the drapes (been on that Mile Long To Do List for years) and the cat-clawed and shredded sofas will look a bit beyond shabby chic... :D
DeleteIf you give a mouse a cookie...
DeleteExactly. :)
